“You’re willing to give it all up for us?” Ace’s voice comes out strong. I can tell he wants her to be sure, but it still puts us all on edge.

“Since being here, I’ve been more alive than I have in years. I’ve been living as a shell of myself, a ghost just trying to survive each day that goes by. But with you. Fuck. You all threw me into chaos, expecting me to survive, refusing to let me give up, even when you thought of me as the enemy. You’ve shown me just how strong I can be, the person I want to be. I’m free, alive, and so fucking happy. So yes. Yes, I’m sure this is what I want.” A smile lights her face once she finishes, almost so bright it blinds me.

This woman knows how to bring us to our knees with only her words. She’s shown us time and time again that she’s all in. This beautiful, intelligent, slightly deranged woman wants us even with all our flaws, issues, and scars. She wants us wholly and unequivocally.

“Good,” Ace says, squeezing her hip tighter. “Now we just need to figure out how to keep you forever without anyone trying to take you away.”

We each sit in silence, internally mulling things over on what we could do. We have to do something to get the FBI off her back, but we can’t put her in danger at the same time. There’s a fine line that’s extremely delicate when it comes to keeping her without risking all of our lives.

The idea of letting her go back to the FBI circles in my head. It’s not like they know who we are, and at this point, I don’t think she’d ever give up our secret, especially since she’s so entangled in everything that we’ve done here, but there’s no way I want to risk putting her in danger like that. If they found out she’s on our side, that she helped us kill Matt, it could all go wrong very fast.

“I’ve got an idea.” Blais’ voice cuts through our thoughts. His eyes have a mischievous flare to them, which means whatever his idea is, it’s off the wall.

Ican’t believe this is the plan we’ve come up with. If I didn’t already think Blais had an imaginative mind, this definitely has proven it. I think what’s more surprising is the fact that Ace and Theon thought it was a brilliant idea. When he came up with this plan two weeks ago, I initially thought he was joking, based on the way he was looking at me the entire time with hungry eyes. Turns out he was serious.

While I trust them, there are so many things that could go wrong. One wrong move and all of this gets traced back to them, making all hell break loose. If I lost them, I’d never forgive myself. If they go down, I’m going down with them, because I refuse to be the reason for their demise.

“You ready, princess?” Theon moves into my body, pressing his chest against mine so I have to tilt my head back to meet his eyes. He looks so handsome in his all-black attire, firmly hugging his defined muscles.

Reaching up, I run my finger down the scar covering his face, making him lean into my touch. The first time we met, he tried to scare me with his scar, tried to push me away, but it only drew me closer to him. I wanted to know his secrets, his pain, and everything that made him, him.

“I’m ready.” My voice is shaky but if anyone can do this, it’s them. He grabs onto my wrist, pressing a gentle kiss to my palm before dropping my hand to grab my chin between his fingers.

“We’ll protect you no matter what happens.” His hazel eyes hold nothing but promise.

“Who will protect you guys if it doesn’t work?” The plan itself is not scary, it’s the aftereffects that terrify me. Knowing just how precise we have to be in order for no evidence to come back to them, sends me into a tailspin.

“We don’t need protection, whatever happens will happen, but we’ll be fine.” He looks thoughtful, but confident in our ability to pull this off.

I wrap my arms around his large body, forcing him to drop my chin as I lean my head against his chest. “I love you, Theon, and I believe in you, but you’re not invincible. Anything could go wrong at the drop of a hat, things we can’t prevent.”

“We’ll see.” His deep, raspy voice doesn’t waver, it doesn’t quiver, it sounds so sure. He kisses the top of my head before I move back, heading downstairs to meet Ace and Blais.

“Looking good, for a dead girl,” Blais says, whistling, when I approach him and Ace. Rolling my eyes, I give him a sly grin before stopping right in front of him. Each of them is adorned in all-black attire, looking like three sexy-ass spies on a mission.

“Don’t make it two deaths today, Blais.” I give him a wink, before he groans, capturing my lips with his. His hand cups the back of my neck pulling me closer to him so he could deepen the kiss. He bites my bottom lip hard, before soothing the sting with his tongue and pulling back.

“As long as you let me die in my favorite place.” He trails the fingers of his free hand down my waist before cupping my pussy. “Deep inside your tight little body while you drive the knife into my heart.” His touch makes me wish we had more time tonight for a little fun, but unfortunately, we have to get going.

The idea of ever hurting Blais like that sends a spark of pain through my body, quickly reminding me of what could’ve happened if I made the wrong choice down in the basement. If I would’ve chosen to protect Matt or to kill them all, everything would be different. More than ever, I know I made the right choice. They bring out the darkness inside me that complements theirs. It might be insane, completely irrational, but it’s where I want to be.

“Alright, temptress. Let’s do this.” Ace’s deep voice rumbles, making me step back from Blais to look at him. His emerald green eyes meet mine, and he seems like he’s finally at peace for the first time since I met him. His gaze shifts to Theon standing beside Blais and I, flashing with a hint of anger before he wipes it away.

Ace and Theon are still attempting to work out their issues, skirting around their feelings about it all, but they’re showing a united front. No matter what goes on between all of us, we are a team together, we’ll work through our issues together.

I know Ace wants to forgive him, but he’s a stubborn man. He’ll draw out his anger, trying to view the situation from every angle before he’ll let himself see Theon loved her unconditionally. It’ll take some time, but I can tell it’s going to bring them closer together in the end. They both loved her and they love each other, so no matter what their bond will only strengthen.

Giving Ace a nod, we all make our way down to the basement into the torture room. The same room that brought all of us together, where we went from being on opposite sides of this battle to becoming allies. The room that almost broke me, but gave me my strength back, where I flourished, letting my true identity shine.

“Try not to enjoy it too much, darling,” Blais says, pulling my shirt off my body, leaving me in a red lace bralette and blue jeans, before chaining my arms above my head. Ace sets up the video camera, angling it toward me, while Theon strategically places the tray of weapons in view to be caught on the video.

“Do your worst.” I grin, giving him the exact same words I uttered to them before when I was determined to destroy them the same way they wanted to destroy me.

We have to make this look real, so I told them not to give anything away of what they plan to do to me in this room. Blais’ idea was to fake my death so the FBI will have no reason to keep looking for me since I’ll never be returning to my former life.

Part of his brilliant plan was to torture me, to make it look like they’re putting me through hell, before they kill me. But the craziest part of their plan is to get a video of them incinerating my body, leaving no question of my unfortunate death and leaving no body to be found.

Unsurprisingly, Blais has been looking forward to my torture. It’s probably why he included it in the plan just so he could get off on it. If I’m being honest with myself, I can’t blame him. Feeling the pain they give me to only promise pleasure in the end is worth every mark they leave on my body.
