“You look like shit.” He laughs, getting off me to stand up. He reaches out his hand and I take it so he can pull me up.

“Gee, I wonder why.” He just laughs at my response. My ribs ache a little from where he landed a punch, but I’m glad he’s done fighting me. The fucker is brutal.

“You guys going to paint each other’s nails and braid each other’s hair now?” Theon’s smug grin crosses his face. I’m surprised he didn’t go get some popcorn for the show we gave him.

“Aww, Theon, we wouldn’t leave you out.” Blais walks up to Theon, putting him in a headlock to give him a noogie.

“Get the fuck off me.” Theon laughs, playfully punching Blais’ side.

It’s moments like these that I’m thankful to have Theon and Blais. We might fight like we hate each other sometimes, but by the end, we end up joking like it never happened in the first place. It’s what family does, and I’m glad I have that with them.

These two were the ones who were there to pick me up when my entire world fell apart.

“Theon, have you seen Allie? I can’t find her,” I yell at him over the loud music. The club is packed tonight and it’s so loud I can barely think straight.

“Last I saw her, she was in the middle of the floor dancing with her friend. There were two guys trying to dance with them, but that was about five minutes ago.” His voice is angry as he shouts back at me from behind the bar. He looks like he’s about to blow a gasket, which I can only presume is from being behind the busy bar. We had a bartender call in sick tonight, leaving us short staffed so Theon decided to help out.

I’d be helping too if I wasn’t trying to track down my stubborn sister every two seconds. Goddamn it, Allie. I knew she shouldn’t have come tonight. She’s always wanting to join us, but if I had it my way, I’d keep her locked inside forever. I know she’s twenty years old, but every part of me still feels like she’s a child and it wants to protect her at all costs.

Allie is a gorgeous girl with sandy blonde hair, sparkling green eyes like mine, and a smile that can make a person melt into a puddle, which means all the losers try to put their grubby hands on her.

Since I can’t beat the shit out of every guy that looks at my baby sister, I prefer she stays far away from the club. The last time some scumbag got too close to her, I got very close to catching a charge. Thankfully Blais and Theon pulled me off the jackass before I went too far. Unfortunately, she’s my weakness and trying to say no to her is next to impossible.

Lately though, she’s been acting weird. Getting jumpy and defensive about little things and acting cagey. She doesn’t smile as much, her eyes seem unfocused when I’m talking to her, making her demeanor strange. One night, I caught her sneaking back into the house and she claimed she couldn’t sleep so she needed air.

Whatever she’s up to, I intend to find out. We don’t keep secrets from each other. We promised each other as kids to always tell the truth even when it hurts. Obviously we aren’t kids anymore, but we’ve always kept that rule.

“I’m gonna go check with Blais. Maybe he’s seen her. He has a better view from the DJ booth,” I yell back to Theon, who nods his head, getting back to the drinks he’s working on.

The music wraps itself around everyone in the club as the crowd of bodies move together to the beat. A small smile spreads across my face thinking about how carefree everyone in here is. No worries, just trying to feel something through the music, through dancing. It’s one of my favorite parts of the club. Seeing all the people let themselves feel in a space so unlike their everyday surroundings.

Walking to the DJ booth, I pass through the sea of sweat-covered bodies. Just as I’m about to step up into the booth, a small, soft hand grabs on to me.

I turn to see a gorgeous blonde woman with big brown eyes standing before me. She gives me a flirtatious smile and leans into me. “Dance with me?” she purrs into my ear as her long hair tickles my arm.

“I can’t, I’m looking for someone.” If I wasn’t trying to find Allie, I’d take her out on the dance floor which would probably end up with me leaving with her before the night was over.

“Just one dance? Then I can help you find whoever you’re looking for.” She presses her body into mine, seductively wrapping her arms around my neck. Tilting her eyes up to meet mine, she flutters her eyelashes laying it on thick.

I don’t usually do desperate, but I need to relieve some tension tonight.

I groan, feeling my cock harden as she wiggles her body to the music against mine. “Fine. One dance.” I give her a charming smile, making her eyes light up with desire. I know I shouldn’t, but I’m sure Allie’s fine. Probably off in the bathroom fixing her makeup or something. One dance won’t hurt.

The girl giggles, releasing my neck and grabbing my hand, pulling me onto the dance floor. Her hips sway seductively as she walks, forcing my eyes to zone in directly on her plump ass. I can see every curve of her gorgeous body moving underneath the tight forest green dress she’s wearing, leaving nothing to the imagination. This girl is exactly my type so I hope she’s still here when I get back after finding Allie.

Once we make it to the middle of the dance floor, I grab her hips, pulling her back into my chest. She grinds against my body, pressing her ass into my cock and grinding up and down all over my erection. My fingers dig into her hips as our bodies glide together to the beat of the music. She continues to torture my dick that’s aching to sink into her as the music continues thumping around us.

Peeking over her shoulder, she gives me a devious grin before spinning around and running her hands down my chest. Her chest presses against my body, pushing her cleavage up even more in that dress, coming close to popping out on the dance floor. The way she’s looking at me makes me think she wants to fuck me right here amidst everyone. She steps back, giving me a lust-filled look as she sensually lowers her body down mine.

Fuck. If I didn’t know better, it’d look like she’s about to give me a blowjob on the dance floor. Even though I’d love to see this play out, I need to find Allie. A bad feeling creeps in my stomach.

I grab her hands and pull her in, whispering in her ear, “Thanks for the dance, gorgeous. Maybe if you’re still around later, we can finish what we started.” I give her a wink and she nods to me with the biggest grin on her face. I kiss her on the cheek, spinning around to head toward Blais.

He’s in his element, his headphones pressed to one ear as he plays with the sound board. Bobbing his head to the music, he looks so fucking happy right now. Music is a way he expresses himself and he’s damn good at it. I keep telling him he needs to make his own mixtape and send it out, but he just sees it as a hobby that he enjoys.

“Hey, have you seen Allie? I can’t find her.” His attention snaps to mine, trying to hear me over the music.

He presses a red button on the board so the music plays automatically and steps back so we can talk. “I saw her maybe ten minutes ago, heading toward the back. Probably to use the bathroom.”
