“I’ll go,” Kyle blurts out.

“You will?” I ask, surprised.

“Yes.” He walks over and closes the door on Josh. “And if you’re okay with it, I want to stay here tonight. I know you have plans with Nina so if you want to go I understand, but I’ve already gone over a week without you and I really don’t want to have to go another night.”

I smile. “You’ll really go to New York? You won’t change your mind?”

“If you want me to go, I’ll go.”

“Sage?” Josh tries to open the door but Kyle holds it shut.

“Tell me I can stay,” he asks. “I miss you, Sage.”

I smile even more. “I miss you too.” I turn and talk to the door. “Josh, you can go. I’m staying here.”

“With HIM?” he asks, sounding disgusted.

“Yeah. Tell Nina I’m sorry. We’ll do it some other time.” I hear him talking to himself as he walks away. I loop my arms around Kyle’s neck. “You were saying?”

“I have nothing more to say.” He lowers his mouth to mine. “Other than that I love you.” He kisses me, his arms going around my waist, pulling me closer.

The feel of his warm body and deep penetrating kiss ignites an aching need that I haven’t felt since he left.

“I want you,” I whisper over his mouth.

He scoops me up and takes me to the bedroom.

“Does that mean you want me too?” I ask with a laugh.

“So damn much.” He takes his shirt off, showing off that lean muscular chest of his.

The rest of our clothes go flying and we meet up in bed, with Kyle already suited up in a condom. His hand slips between my legs, circling, stroking, making my entire body tremble with anticipation. But I don’t want to finish yet. Not this way.

I gently take his hand away and he kisses me as his body comes over mine. He pushes inside me then stills.

“I love you,” he whispers by my ear. He slowly pulls out, then thrusts into me, hard and deep, filing my body with the sensations it’s craved while he’s been gone. The anticipation continues to build, my body begging for more but also wanting its release.

“Sage,” he groans and I know he’s close. I am too.

Moments later I get my release, and it’s awesome. Better than any other time we’ve been together. He comes shortly after, and as our bodies come to rest, I feel a peace come over me. A peace that comes from knowing we’re back together.

I love him. I love him so much. I didn’t expect to find love for a very long time, and definitely not this summer, in this tiny town. But somehow, for some reason, we both ended up here and I have to believe it’s because we were meant to find each other.

“Let’s go out,” Kyle says, his fingers lightly playing with my hair.

I snuggle closer to him. “But this feels so good. Why would we go out?”

“I don’t mean go out to a bar. I mean, let’s take a drive. Let’s go back to my place and get my motorcycle and go.”

“But it’ll be dark soon.”

“We have an hour of daylight left. We’ll be back before dark.” He turns on his side. “C’mon. You’ve never been on the bike with me.”

I’ve never been on a motorcycle with anyone but I’ve always wanted to try it. My mom would kill me if she found out I went for a motorcycle ride. She hates motorcycles and told me I’m never to ride on one. But there’s something really appealing about the idea of riding on a motorcycle with Kyle. Sorry, Mom, but I have to do this.

“Okay,” I tell him, sitting up. “Let’s go.”

“Really?” He smiles. “I thought you’d say it was too dangerous.”
