Austin shook his head.

“No that’s why I have Sasha. She is completely in her element. Besides I came over here to do some very important business and to get your opinion.”

Claudia kept her thoughts to herself and then try to look objectively at the situation.

“I think it’s a great idea doing small town fashion. The other towns don’t have it and Cooper’s and could really use it for income. It’s smart and it should be a great money generator.”

“But do you like it?”

Claudia thought the question was ridiculous.

“Of course, I like it. The spacing is amazing. The tables look like a dream and if I’m not mistaken on the walls were holders to hold bolts of clothing,” Claudia said wistfully.

“I’m glad that you like it so much. I’m hoping that you’re going to agree to start spending a whole lot of time there.”

“You need somebody to help you out with cutting some patterns getting set up in the boutique?”

Austin leads or the camp older until his forehead was next to hers.

“Actually, Claudia I was hoping that you would come over and be my first designer that I hired from here in the town. I told you I’m going to be taking people from the town who had residency and I can’t think of a more qualified person who would be able to take the bull by the horns.”

Claudia smiled at Austin and had to hold on to that smile while thoughts ran rampant through her mind.

She was pretty sure she didn’t want to have anything to do with taking the bull by the horns. To think she had once thought the craziest thing he could have ever have been implying was they have a relationship. He was in a whole new level.

“Are you joking?”

“No, I’ve been in here and looked at your patterns and clothing and I think you have a gift and an eye, and it would be a big win for the town for you to do this.”

“First of all, all the things that I know how to do are amateurish. I taught myself and it’s to get by not to make a splash on a runway. My things are just ordinary.”

“I don’t think the things that you do are ordinary. I think they are beautiful,” Austin said. Besides I have heard people talk about your work and say how they are happy to buy it for themselves as well as give it as a gift.”

“They’re being kind!” Claudia said.

“Kindness only gets you but so far you should know that you’re in business. I don’t want you to think I’m asking you for any other reason say for I believe you would do this well and make money. I wasn’t sure so I went, and I found an expert she’s looked at your things as well and Sasha knows you can do this.”

“What exactly am I doing?”

“You’re making the clothes for women and children like you always do they will have a sense of practicality as well as stylishness. I think you’re selling yourself short.”

“What happens when I run out of ideas?”

Austin laughed.

“As long as people have problems and have clothes and work, I really don’t think you’re ever going to run out of ideas.”

“I don’t know Austin it’s still I don’t know –. You know I spend a large part of my life just making sure I take care of my business and that’s it. I don’t hang out a lot I don’t make a big fuss about stuff. I’m not really interested in being in the limelight. “

“Claudia don’t look at it about being in the limelight think about you having the freedom to create whatever you want and having the backing to help people to get you into production sooner than you normally would.”

What Claudia wanted to say was opening up the store took almost all of the courage that she had. She wanted to tell him he didn’t understand what it meant to be afraid and then trying to build your life again. She wanted to tell him that she wanted to grab onto his opportunity with both hands but that she knew she was still trying to play it safe.

“I can see you thinking about it in the head of yours Claudia. You’ll enjoy and I’m not even asking you to give up your store next door. If you want all the production and creation can go on here and we will just put it in the window of your store. I’m okay with that.”

He was okay with that? Claudia was glad he was okay with things. She could see her sister Olivia telling her to be cautious. She could hear Tamara telling her that things that look too good usually are. The one thing that Claudia did know was she didn’t want to live her life in fear. She had come too far to give in to fear. She looked at Austin and realized that this would be the bigger chance she took if she decided to do this. It could set her back to where she started if it went wrong. Was Austin worth the risk?
