“Three weeks? Are we sure?” she squeaked and then looked over her shoulder at Austin.

“Oh, now you look over your shoulder at the rejected guy,” he joked.

You’ll be fine. I noticed you’re starting to change the look in your store, why?” Austin asked.

The question brought Claudia to the present and Austin could see she snapped into her work mode.

“The kids are getting out of school and it’s time to start going to the beach. I have clothes that are beach friendly for mothers and children.”

Sasha clapped her hands.

“Then you’ve already come up with the show theme. You’ll see in no time you’ll be a natural at this and you won’t need me at all.”

Claudia smiled and nodded at Sasha.

“Speaking of my store I need to go over there. How will this work?”

Austin cleared his throat.

“We will work it out even if it means hiring another person. I’ve talked to Jillian, and she doesn’t mind holding down the fort sometimes. Let’s play it by ear. Go take care of the store and we’ll talk later for the beach show okay?”

Claudia nodded and Austin saw the flush of excitement bloom across her cheeks. There was an energy about her that he wanted to pull into his arms and savor. She was beautiful, smart and still one of the sweetest women he had met. He didn’t hear her say goodbye, but he watched her walk out of the door. Then he felt the tap on his shoulder.

“Boy, you’ve got it bad,” Sasha said. “Let me give you a bit of advice. If you love someone you need to let the be themselves and take them the way they are and not the way you think they should be.”

The words shook Austin, and he gave Sasha a second look.

“You think I don’t see her?”

“I think you see her now but she’s about to grow. Make sure you grow with her Austin. No one every wants to choose between their two loves,” Sasha said as she walked away.

Austin looked at Sasha leave and had a feeling she wasn’t just giving advice; she was talking from experience.
