“I'll be leaving now,” Naomi said.

“I need to finish up the order before the end of the day.”

Neely turned to face her and gave her once again a questioning look.

“I saw your employee coming you mean you're not going to go home to take care of whisper and smoke?”

“I'm going to finish the order I have to do and then I will go home and take care of Whisper and Smoke, am I not allowed to work anymore Naomi. It seems like the rules are changing every day.”

Naomi said nothing she just turned around and left the store. Claudia didn't bother following her or seeing her out. She just hoped one day that Naomi would understand her without ever having to suffer the way that she had.

Austin had made a decision. He was going to finally engage with Claudia. He walked into the store and saw Jillian working with another customer. Claudia walked right up to him and didn't say a word. She just nodded and said she would be right back under her breath. He saw her reach into the box behind the counter and knew she was going to pull out the patterns for this week. Austin had to admit it was uncomfortable for her to ignore him. When she had brought him the four patterns and placed them in front of him, he looked at them and saw that they were the ones from last week.

“Are we putting up last week’s patterns?” he asked.

“What are you – “. Claudia was agitated and he was about to receive full brunt of it when she realized she was wrong.

“I'm so sorry let me get you the right ones.”

Austin reached out to stop her before she's scurried away.

“I'm Austin Brogan.”

“It's nice to meet you, Austin. I'm Claudia and I don't have time.”

Austin could have left it at that and come back the next day, but he couldn't stand seeing her so unhappy. he placed his hands over his heart and then drop down to one knee.

“I can tell you don't have any time for me Juliet, but I've come only to look upon your beauty.”

“Get up! you are certifiable.” she said looking around the store.

Austin smiled and then came to stand up tall in front of her.

“It's true my mother always did say I was gifted. We normally have such a spirited conversation over the patterns but today you seem lost in your own thoughts and you’re not sharing.”

“Well let me tell you about sharing. Sharing maybe caring but it is never fun.”

“I think I hear a story in there.”

“Austin listen thank you so much for trying to cheer me up, but I just have to think some things through.”

“Well, you could always share it with me. I mean I will have a fresh view and opinion on the whole issue.”

He saw Claudia stop and look at him with a sarcastic smile.

“Are you telling me that I should open up to the man who has creepily been coming into my store two or three times out of the week?”

“Wow when you say it like that it does sound pretty bad. Let's look on the bright side. I've been coming into the store two or three times out of the week and every time I come in, I spend money. how bad can I be?”

“Is there a reason that you are so determined?”

“I assure you it's self-serving.”

“Self-serving? what could I possibly do for you?”

“I think you should go first. Mine is a little farfetched.”
