“I would love to sit down and spill all of my inner secrets to you but I have to finish doing some work so I can get back to my babies.”

“You have children?”

“I said so, didn’t I?”

“There are no problems with babies. I just didn't know you had any,” Austin said holding his hands up in a defensive gesture.

“Oh yes I do. they are very special to me. I got them from a foster home.”

“Oh, I hear lots of foster children need homes,” Austin said not quite sure what to say.

“Today was a home check and I don't think the person who came by with all that impressed with the accommodations I have or the fact that I was working when she came by.”

Austin couldn’t believe someone wouldn’t see how good a mother Claudia must be. He found her to be patient and compassionate.

“Single mothers are always getting it. My grandmother was a single mother, and she wasn’t a traditional woman, but we couldn’t have been raised any better,” he said firmly. Austin looked at Claudia and saw her face soften. She reached out her hand and placed it on top of her.

“My babies have four legs and like to sleep in a crate. However, I want you to know I respect you way more now that I know you are such an upstanding guy. I’ve still got to finish this project, but I wanted to say to you thank you Austin Brogan. Thank you for actually being a good guy.”

Austin watched her walk into the back and then shook his head. When it came to money, he was usually very focused. Somehow, he had just been twisted around the finger of woman who hadn’t even been trying. Oh yes, he was looking forward to working with Claudi Lewis.

Chapter Four

Aweek later Jilliancalled Claudia to the front of the store.

“Claudia, it looks like we're getting a neighbor,” Jillian said. It wasn't often that she saw someone moving in or out in Cooper’s Sand. When the old electrical building across the street it was rented it caused quite an uproar. Once Upon a time it had been an electrical store for everyone to go get knick knack parts from. the owner Mr. Isley retired. in the beginning Claudia could tell that chain of events hadn't really bothered Jillian at all. In fact, Gillian knew that as soon as Caroline came into the store or whenever she saw Caroline in town, she would get all of the information she needed.

It didn't take long for Caroline to come into the store. It seemed as though marks daughter Jess was coming home, and she was pregnant. Carolyn came into store hoping to get an original creation just for her grandchild. As soon as Carolyn walked into the store Jillian was on her.

“Old man Isley’s electrical building was just rented,” Jillian said conversationally to Caroline. Carolyn nodded but gave no other information.

“We are waiting Caroline,” Jillian prodded with a small laugh. It was then that it seemed that Carolyn realize that Jillian was actually really waiting.

“I’m so sorry Jillian, I can’t tell you,” when she turned back to the table and tried to sort through the baby outfits.

“What do you mean that you can’t tell me?” Jillian started again.
