Rose couldn’t help but let out a laugh. “Do you mean with you or your record collection?”

With a charming smile, Dylan said, “Hopefully both.”

Rose sat back in her chair, running her eyes over Dylan again. She couldn’t believe that a man like this was even available, let alone going on a date with someone like her. Sure, she knew she was good-looking. But this man was on an entirely different playing field.

“Gerri said she specializes in shifter matches.”

“Ah,” Dylan unlaced his fingers and leaned back in his seat. “Yes. I’m not sure how much she told you about me.”

Rose snorted.

I could say the same about myself.

Who knew what Gerri had told Dylan about her? But so far, it didn’t feel like he knew about her band or her alter ego.

Probably for the best. I don’t want him thinking I’m only interested in this for the music hook-up.

“She told me you were a shifter, but that was all.”

Dylan nodded. “Tiger.”

That had her blinking. “Tiger? Like a whole …”

“Claws and all.”

Holy hell.

“Wow,” she murmured, leaning forward to rest her chin on her hand. “That’s amazing.”

He gave her a wry smile. “Is it? I don’t think I’ve ever heard someone say that before.”

“Sorry. I’ve, um … actually never been around shifters before.”

He winked. “We’re a fun bunch.”

“Oh, I don’t doubt that.”

Dylan opened his mouth to retort but was interrupted by the waiter coming around with a notepad in hand, looking at them both expectantly. She couldn’t help but laugh as they gave each other blank looks. Neither of them had even bothered to look at the menu yet.

Dylan gave the waiter a quick smile. “Can you give us a minute?”

Rose watched as the waiter bowed slightly and headed off to a different table, leaving them to each other again. Laughing to herself, she leaned forward and grabbed one of the menus sitting in the middle of the table.

“Rose.”

She looked up quickly, catching a heated stare. “Yes?”

“Tell me you’re free on Friday.”

She blinked. Warmth pooling in her stomach. She’d never known a man to be so quick with wanting a second date. Although, she’d also never been out with a shifter before, so maybe they were known for moving things along quickly.

Still, she couldn’t help but feel flattered that Dylan had clearly felt a connection between them ... something that Rose couldn’t deny was brewing even on her end.

“I’m sorry,” she said, noticing the way Dylan’s shoulders deflated. “I actually can’t this Friday.”

“Ah.”

She bit her lip, holding back her smile. “What about Saturday?”
