Spotting her, a man stood from the table, giving her a smile. “Rose?”

She looked at him and nodded, not trusting her voice at the sight of this beautiful man.

He was tall ...verytall with broad shoulders and a sleek build. His dark red hair had been pulled back from his face, showing off his chiseled jawline and deep green eyes. His smile reached all the way up to his eyes, and she couldn’t help but blush under his heated stare.

“I’m Dylan. It’s nice to meet you.”

She dipped her head again. “You too.”

She grabbed her seat and sat down before he could come around the table and invade her space to pull it out for her. Not that her body didn’t want him near her. In fact, her body felt like it was on fire.

What is wrong with me?

It was like she needed to fan herself.

Dylan gave her another smile and sat, placing his hands on the table and nodding at the hostess, who stepped away.

“Thank you for meeting me here, Rose.”

God, even my name on his lips sounds like honey.

She cleared her throat, trying to pull herself together enough to actually speak to this man. “Yes. Thank you. Was it a long trip for you over here?”

He chuckled, making her toes curl. “Not at all. I hope it wasn’t for you.”

She waved her hand, busying herself with hooking her bag around the back of her chair. “I live right in town. I work over this way, so it isn’t that far of a stretch,”

Dylan tilted his head, lacing his fingers together on top of the table. “Oh, really? What do you do?”

“I work for Prescott Academy. I’m their music teacher.”

Dylan grinned slowly, his eyes sparkling. “Brilliant …”

She blinked in surprise. She knew her job sounded fancy, but it was mostly due to the fact that her place of employment was titledacademyand notschool. Giving it a more privatized feel than just a school teacher.

Though, she did love her kids. So, whatever title her job decided to give her didn’t matter. As long as her kids were happy and thriving ... so was she.

“Why do you say that?”

“Well, I’m also into music.”

That had Rose raising her brow. “Oh? How so? Are you a big music fan?”

He laughed. “You can say that. I actually own K-Town Records.”

Her jaw dropped. “Youwhat?”

“You've heard of it?”

“Uh, duh!” she couldn’t help but say. They were only the biggest recording label in the business right now and someone she’d been wanting to get in touch with since she started Churlish Slither.

What are the actual odds?

Dylan fixed her with an amused look. “Are you a big vinyl fan? I’ve got a huge collection of that too.”

Rose could feel her eyes light up. “Wow … Gerri really did her homework on finding my match, didn’t she?”

“She tends to do that, yes. I’ll assume that you are interested, by the way.”
