She didn’t know if she should smile and wave or crawl into a ball and cry. What she wanted to do was leave.
Leo turned to Daniel, and his expression turned serious. “Who’s the manager on duty tonight?”
“Peter Jones.”
“Good. Ask Peter if Owen Bell and his fiancée are staying here. If they are, I want them moved out. I’ll cover the cost. If management has a problem, I want them to contact me immediately.”
“Yes, sir. I’ll handle it straight away.” Daniel hurried away.
Leo nodded and took her hand. “We’re leaving.”
Relieved to get as far away as possible from all the attention, she took her purse and trailed behind Leo’s long strides to the exit.
