Delaney and Bronywyn both ball up their fists and punch Ridley.

“Ouch,” Bronywyn winces. “Still worth it, though,” she adds, glaring at the fae.

He takes a step back, hands raised in surrender. “What the hell?”

“You should be more compassionate,” Bronywyn scolds.

“Sheelin may be a murderous bitch, but she’s still his sister,” Delaney adds.

“Don’t be an asshole.” All three of them turn to me, so I shrug. “Felt like I needed to add something, too.”

“Given that she’d currently attempted to wipe my family members from existence, I don’t feel like compassion is something I need to have when it comes to her.”

“Fearghas is your friend, so at least, keep your bullshit wrapped up around him.” Rainey moves into the room, likely having heard us with her extensive hunter hearing. “Anyway, we’ve got bigger problems.”

“And those would be?”

“We put a dent in them, but they put a massive one in us. We lost half our people.”
