This softens my stance. I guess Draven isn't a stoned-face prick anymore.

"But hurry up cause I want to get back to fucking your..."

My boot to his chest doesn't knock him down as I had planned but it does stop his nasty words. Unfortunately, it makes him bust up laughing like a damn clown.

Assholes, I tell ya.

Once I finish changing and cleaning up, I turn to go down the stairs but stop myself. I want to see if I can channel my new powers on cue. I look across the room and see the hamper, hanging over the edge of it is Drug's shirt. He took it off the day we had our steamy shower.

I focus on the feel of gravity and how it holds everything down relentlessly, hugging everything to the earth. Then I picture its grip slipping from around the cotton shirt. I imagine gravity leaving one stitch at a time until it finally lets it go.

The shirt lifts off the hamper and I squeal like a piglet, happy to see that even with my excitement, the shirt continues to levitate.

I lift my hand and do a quickcome hithermotion with my fingers. The shirt flies to me so fast, it's like someone threw it. The shirt sails right to my hand leaving me breathless and filled with so much excitement.

I try it again with something solid and again, it flies right to my hand. I figured out that the faster I motion with my fingers, the faster the object flies.

I learned that the hard way when I was trying to get the bookend, a crystal ball, to come to me and it nailed me right in the mouth.

Okay, now that I pretty much have that ability down, I try for my Hellfire. If I'm going to fight Merelda, I need to learn how to call this flame fast without a struggle.

After a few minutes of trying, I can finally call the black flames to my fingers. It seems the flame is bigger when Drug is touching me though because the flames only come out of my fingertips.

"Let's go, Ronny!"

Draven yells from downstairs like an annoying brother. I knock on wood like I've seen humans do because having a pushy sibling is seriously bad luck.

Looking down at my new tattoo of Drug's Hellhound, I rub it with a smile, "I'm coming Drug."

"Ahh, my lovely Crow has come for a visit." Mayfly's smooth voice reaches my ears as we enter Club Lust.

"She isn't here for your drool, Nymph so put your tongue back in your face." Draven snarls from my side.

I swear, men with egos are just so annoying. If they pull their dicks out for measuring I'll cut them off. Hmm, seems like I have a thing for cutting dicks off.

"She brings her guard dog too, wonderful."

I hold up my hand, halting Draven's comeback.

"Enough. Draven is right, I'm not here for anything other than some information, Mayfly. I need to know if you've done any business with the witches, an elder to be exact."

Mayfly's eyes flare with interest before he nods to his bodyguards. The men usher everyone out of the private VIP section, "Right this way."

We follow the Nymph up the stairs but we don't speak until the doors are closed. Remembering the moth, I put a finger to my lips and begin looking around the small room. Can't be too careful where Merelda is concerned.

"What are you looking for, beautiful?" Mayfly says as he pours himself a drink.

"Black moths. They're the familiars of Merelda Hound."

Mayfly freezes but brushes it off quickly and if I hadn't been watching him I wouldn't have caught it. Please tell me I won't have to kill this guy.

"What do you want with the Elder?" he asks with false nonchalance.

"She took something that belongs to me and I want it back," I tell him coldly, the less details with this dude, the better. I don't want or need him having any kind of leverage over me because I will do almost anything to get Drug back.

"Mhmm." Mayfly sips his drink as he watches us from over the rim.

"Where is the other dog, yourmate? He was very possessive last time I saw him. It seems rather peculiar that he isn't here with you considering it'smeyou're visiting with."
