“Ack. Too much drama. Something about family trees and names.” Bunny leaned forward. Family history is important, and you don’t want to let go of it too easily.” She looked pointedly around the kitchen.

Liz followed her gaze. The kitchen was a mess, but some of the items did bring back fond family memories. Like her mother’s recipes and the vintage kitchen canisters with colorful mushrooms on them.

“Of course, one can’t keep everything. Maybe you could donate some of the things you don’t want?” Bunny’s words brought Liz out of her thoughts. “Like all the books in the den? Your dad loved reading, and I have to say he did collect a ton of books over the years. But the library is always looking for good books. I hope you’re not going to just throw those out.”

“No, of course not. I’ll stop by the library later and see if they want them. And maybe the Salvation Army?”

“That’s my girl.” Bunny shoved the rest of the muffin into her mouth and stood. “Well, I’ll leave you to it. Let me know if you need anything. I’m right next door.”

Bunny left, and Liz continued her task. She was surprised to find herself humming as she boxed up some of the books and set the items she thought might be valuable aside for Andie.

Time flew by, and soon it was late afternoon. Funny, she hadn’t hated being there as much as she thought she would, but now that it was time for a break, she needed a real meal. Muffins and tomatoes weren’t cutting the mustard.

She grabbed the tomatoes on her way out the door. There were far too many for her to eat. Maybe Jane could use some at the inn.
