“We need two names, Lacey,” Carter said. “Before we can go further.”
Jack and Blake.
Shit, you’ve chosen Lacey. Stop it.
“Who?”
“Mmm.”
And then he grinned.
My shadow, but before I saw his face, his wings spanned out once again.
“Are you still feeling me?”the voice said.
My eyes darted open to see the four guys smiling at me.
“Are you okay, Lacey?” Seb whispered into my ear. I nodded.
“Nice dream?” Kane arched a brow.
“Hmm,” I said slowly, trying to block the images of the dream from my mind and trying harder to stop the flush in my chest from rising to my face. Could I do that with my new powers?
Nope.I couldn’t. The heat bubble crept up my neck and flared my cheeks.
“Was it that nice?” Ryan whispered.
“Do you want to turn it into reality?” Carter said.
“No way,” I said, scrambling off the chair. “You’ve really got no idea what you’re saying.”
“You said not to stop,” Ryan said.
“Oh,” I said, my face warming at a rapid pace. I shook my head, tried to exhale the gasp that needed to be released as the guys looked at each other. Had I said something in my dream? Did I moan out loud?
“Shortest straw wins,” Seb said. I shook my head and stared at him. “For the bed, you sleep in tonight.”
“Oh.” My eyes opened wide.
“Sleep only… unless you want anything else,” Seb said, as he wiggled his eyebrows. I laughed at his attempt.
“No touching me?” I asked.
“Not in the way you’re thinking about,” Ryan said.
“Of course, unless you want it,” Seb said.
I bit down on my lip.
Should I tell them now I’m a virgin or pretend I’m not one? What’s the easiest thing to do?
“We know you’re a virgin, Lacey,” Seb said.
“You really need to stop doing that,” I said, touching my head and frowning.
“You do it to me,” Seb countered.
“Yeah, but that was a private discussion I was having with myself.”
