“I don’t need the bathroom. I need to pee.”
He rumbled a laugh, turned me around, and dragged me back on top of him. “I need a kiss first.”
“Oh ‘mister I don’t kiss,’ needs a kiss.”
He peeked through sleepy eyes. “I’ve been saving them for you.”
“Someone needs to tell me where they are hiding, Kane,” I said and tickled him.
“Kiss me,” he grunted.
“Ah, there he is,” I said and laughed. “Oh no, I really need to pee now.” I kissed him quickly on the mouth. He pulled me closer, sliding his tongue across my lips before he nipped at my bottom lip. “You will feel a warmth running over your belly if you don’t let me go.”
“Mmm, you win. I’m not into that kinky shit.”
I laughed. “We’ll reconvene with kissing in a couple of minutes.” I kissed him quick again and flipped my legs onto the floor.
“Grab another condom?” I shouted as I ran to the bathroom, more desperate than ever.
I heard him laugh as I reached the bathroom door.
Finally, I did my business, feeling relieved.
I glanced at my watch, hoping it would still be a couple of hours before Polly returned. Maybe wecouldget one quickie in because the last session lasted hours and falling asleep afterwards meant we’d lost out on time. It would definitely have to be a quickie, or I knew Polly would catch us.
It took forever, but finally, I finished wiping myself. Washed my hands, and turned to the door opening.
Kane stood pale-faced at the entrance.
“What’s wrong?” A look of concern covered his face and his lack of speech was frightening me.
“Shit, is someone at the door?” I asked. Was it another demon sent by the Dark King? Would they knock?
My eyes popped open. “Talk to me, Kane.”
His right hand raised, showing me the used condom.
I sighed my relief. “Shit, Kane, you frightened me there. I thought someone was at the door.”
He closed his eyes for a beat. “I was putting something in the bin and noticed it. I was that tired I didn’t notice earlier and then fell asleep again.”
“You don’t have to go back and inspect it.” I giggled. “And I meant a new one when I asked if you had a condom.”
He smiled and gazed at me. But it wasn’t as big and gorgeous as normal. This time, his smile was tight and hard. “It broke,” he whispered.
“Aww, shit, I thought I was wiping for a while.”
I contemplated what this meant. If I got pregnant now, my uncle would kill me. At that moment a vision flashed into my mind of a little curly blonde-haired girl running in the back garden of my parents’ house. Her eyes were like mine, and she smiled like Kane.
Stop it.
I blinked hard and shook my head. “What are we going to do?”
“What did you see?”
I sighed. “Nothing, I suppose I need to get the morning-after pill.”
He scratched at the back of his neck, running one hand through his hair. “I’ll come with you.”
