I take a deep breath and let it out slowly before walking out to the sound of my friend laughing.

“Oh, there she is.” She points to me and the man standing in front of her turns to look.

Holy shit.

He’s gorgeous. Long black hair frames his perfectly sculpted jaw line. His bright green eyes stand out against his golden-brown sun kissed skin and lush lips.

He walks over to me and puts his hand out.

“Piper, I presume?”

I take his hand, and his engulfs mine. “I, umm.” I stumble over my words a little. “Yes. That’s me.”

His smile spreads across his face, revealing a perfect fucking smile, and my knees turn to Jell-O.

“Great. Follow me.” He lets go, then turns towards the back.

I look at my friend, my eyes wide.

“What?” she whisper-yells to me.

I mouth the words. “He’s fucking hot.”

She gets a mischievous grin on her face as she starts to nod slowly. “Oh, I know. Bye now.”

“Youcantakea seat right there. We are doing your left hand, right?”

“Yes.” I sit in the chair, so I am turned away from him as he puts black latex gloves on.

He adjusts a few things on his table before sitting and pulling the smaller table over with a cushion on it.

“Can you turn a little more towards me?”

I bite my lips together and shift in the seat. Then I look up at him, but I do it slowly, going from his black Chucks, his dark washed jeans that stretch over his thighs, I try to pass on the bulge in his pants, but I can’t help it, it’s straining to get free. Then his simple black t-shirt that’s tight around his biceps and finally his face. Lord, his face is something of a god.

Thankfully, he was getting a few more things together as I grazed up his body.

“Do you have a picture of what you are wanting?”

“Yes.” I grab my phone from my back pocket and show him what I want. “Kelly said you’re the best, so if you think something needs to be tweaked, I trust you.”

Lord, I would trust him to do whatever he wants to me right now. Damn, it’s been too long.

He looks at the pictures for a minute, then grabs a pen and when his fingers touch my skin to position my hand, warmth floods my system.

“So, what made you wanna do this? I see you have one already.”

“That was my wedding ring. I don’t want to look married. It’s been over for a long time.”

“I’m sorry to hear that.”

He starts outlining the design.

“Don’t be. He made his choice, and I’m glad he did.”

“Why’s that?”

“The reasons he left, I think, are things that would have come up, eventually. I’m glad it happened earlier than later. It all would have been a lot harder if we had kids.”
