No more doubts. Nomore questioning himself and his motives. Zander vowed to only look to the future. The future with Tallie by his side.

It had been several hours since they had set sail and now the initial commotion had died down, Zander and Tallie had made their way to the deck. Captain Wright had done an excellent job of retrieving the items Zander had requested, including a small portion of Tallie’s wardrobe, which still amounted to several trunks.

Tallie wore a beautiful dress as they strolled the deck arm in arm. The sea air blew through her hair and she had never looked more beautiful. His heart was so full of love, it frightened him. Dared he to hope...

Captain Wright joined them. “A beautiful afternoon for a stroll, is it not?”

“Captain Wright,” Tallie said. “I understand I have you to thank for retrieving my belongings from Slattery Hall. Thank you. I am grateful to have some clothing and personal items. I am much in your debt.”

Captain Wright tipped his head to her. “I am pleased to be able to assist. Mr. Thwaite has certainly come to my aid on numerous occasions. It was the least I can do.”

Tallie glanced at Zander and raised a brow. “I believe I would like to hear about some of these escapades.”

“There shall be plenty of time for that, my dear. ‘Tis a long trip to South America.” Zander turned back to Captain Wright. “However, I would like to ask one additional favor of you, my friend.”

“Are you sure a shipcaptain can perform a marriage? A proper marriage?”

“I was rather hoping for an improper marriage,” Zander said, looking down at her as she lay naked upon the bed in their cabin. His heated gaze roved from head to toe and she wiggled with delicious anticipation as he stripped off his clothing and joined her.

His lips captured hers in a head-spinning kiss that left her breathless and clinging to him.

His hands skimmed the length of her body, coming to rest between her thighs.

“I have been saving something for you, my husband,” she said, raising her hips to meet his touch.

“And I have something special for you, my wife.”

“I know what that is,” Tallie said, sliding her fingers around his cock.

“Oh, you will be getting plenty of my cock, Tallie dear, you may count on it. In fact, if you do not have some difficulty in walking tomorrow I shall consider myself to have failed in my duties as husband.”

A pulse of hot lust coursed through Tallie. She licked her lips. “I would be loath to have you feel yourself a failure.” She lowered her head to take his cock between her lips, but Zander stopped her before she took him into her mouth. Surprised, she glanced up at him.

“I said I have something for you. You really must learn to listen better.” He removed her hand from his cock. “We will get back to this soon.” He left the bed and retrieved something from his trunk and held it up for her to see. Ginger. Her bottom puckered.

“I had been hoping for a piece of jewelry.”

“Hmm. Perhaps if you had stayed at Slattery Hall as I had instructed you, you would be receiving a trinket of some sort, but you disobeyed me.”

“I can see how you might look at it that way, but you said you would be back and I was worried and I feared...” Her voice trailed off as she realized what she was about to say.

“You did not trust me, did you, Tallie? Did I not say I would return?”

“Y-yes, but—”

“Not only that,” he cut off her excuse, “you put yourself in grave danger last night. What were you thinking wandering around the docks alone at night?”

“I am sorry.” Her voice softened and she looked away. “Oh, Zander,” she said, returning her gaze to his, “what if you had not come along when you did?”

“I do not wish to think about what might have happened, Tallie. And I do not wish to ever repeat that experience, for either of us.”

“B-but, Zander, ‘tis our wedding night.”

“What better time to enforce my expectations for you, naughty wife? Now, get into position. You know what to do.”

She glanced at the hateful root in his hand and then turned over, resting on her shoulders, her bottom perched high, her hands holding her cheeks apart.
