“Better make it quick, Bambi. I’m a wanted man. If you can’t tell, I’m a pretty big deal.” Jamal sweetly brushed his lips over hers and gave her a wink. “Let’s give ‘em something to talk about, Bambi.” Jamal jumped back over the seats, said something that made his coach grin from ear to ear. With a clap on Jamal’s back, his coach pushed him back onto the court to finish the game. Cassie’s fingers went to her lips while the jumbo Tron zoomed in on her face.
“This is going to be a big deal, isn’t it, JJ?”
“Haveyouever heard of a player jumpin’ over the seats to give some other girl a kiss?” JJ said with a grin.
Cassie had no response.
“That’s what I thought,” JJ smirked. “It isdefinitelya big deal.”
But as Cassie watched Jamal dribbled down the court and jump to slam the basketball in the hoop, Cassie couldn’t find it in her heart to worry about what anyone, or the jumbo Tron, thought.

“So, was it everything you thought it would be?” Jamal walked up to Cassie, who was standing the tunnel that led to the court. That’s where JJ had led her after all the fans had cleared out of the arena. JJ told her it would be a while before the reporters stopped talking to her dad, he took a shower and was ready to go.
Cassie smiled at Jamal and shrugged her shoulders. “It was ok.”
“Ok?O-kay?Cassie, you’re breakin’ my heart.”
Cassie winked. “Ok, I guess it was better than ok.”
“As in, better because you got a kiss on the jumbo Tron? I think it was pretty hot.” Jamal walked closer to Cassie until he was standing so close to her that when she took a breath her breasts temptingly brushed across his chest.
Jamal could hear the hitch in Bambi’s breath as she leaned closer to him.
“Are you guys going to kiss? Should I turn my head?” Cassie and Jamal broke away from each other and looked down at a pair of big hazel eyes looking up at them. “Cuz I can. Seriously. You can smooch way more than you did on the jumbo Tron.”
Jamal watched as the blush crept up Cassie’s neck and flushed her cheeks. She was the prettiest thing he had ever seen. “No, we aren’t gonna kiss right now, JJ,” he said to his daughter. She definitely had the worst timing ever. “Maybe later. When you’re in bed and can’t watch.”
“Gross,” JJ said with a wrinkle of her nose. “I’m going to bed as soon as we get home.”
“Good plan, kid. After all, tonight is a school night.”
“Hey, dad. Since you mentioned school, did you know Cassie is ateacher?”
“No, I didn’t,” he said with a surprised look her way. “You never told me you were a teacher. But now that you mention it, I think Kyle might have said something about that at the wedding.”
“I’m not a teacher yet. This is my last semester. I am doing my last student teaching until December and then I’ll take the certification tests. If I pass, I’ll be able to teach next school year.”
“What are you going to do until then?”
“I don’t know. Probably substitute teach. There’s a teacher in my school who is going on maternity leave after Christmas. They’re going to see if I can fill in for her. I don’t have a certificate yet so I don’t know if I can do it, but the principal is going to ask my advisor.”
“I bet you are a great teacher, Bambi.”
“What makes you think that?”
“I’ve seen you with my daughter. Besides, I’m sure all the little boys have major crushes on you.”
“I doubt that.”
“I don’t.”
“Why?” she asked, looking up at him with her beautiful eyes the color of a Hershey’s chocolate bar, which was starting to become his favorite candy. Every time he looked at one he couldn’t help but think of the woman standing in front of him.
“Because this big boy has a major crush on you.”
“Well, then. I guess that means you’ll agree to what I ask you.”
