I slip my hand down to her ass, squeezing it as I turn and press my mouth against hers. “Absolutely not,” I tell her. “That was stupid me back then. Now, I’m all in, one hundred percent.”
“Good answer,” she says, smiling against my mouth.
“When can we get the fuck out of here?” I ask, brushing my lips against hers.
Pen sucks my bottom lip, gently biting it as she says, “We literally just got here, Tommy. Patience, baby.”
“Ugh,” I groan. “I don’t have any when it comes to you.”
Penny laughs, her head falling back a little. “You’re hopeless.”
We do stay in the end, enjoying the party as the small, invited group of people all come to celebrate the opening of Apple Jacks. The night goes off without a hitch and it’s clear the new cider range Jack has created is going to be a huge hit.
“We’ll be doing this for your mead soon,” Lauren says as she comes to stand beside us.
“Maybe,” I say with a laugh. “We’re only just starting, remember?”
She takes a sip of her drink. “Nah, you guys will nail it. We’ve already tried it. Plus have you seen how many followers you already have on Instagram?”
Penny laughs. “It doesn’t count when you strong arm all your friends and clients into following us, you know.”
Lauren shrugs, smiling as she says, “I’m just supporting something I believe in.”
“Thank you,” Pen says, throwing her arms around Lauren in a hug. “Are you at least feeling better after this morning?”
Lauren shrugs as she takes another sip of her drink. “Yeah, mostly, Ellen thinks I’m probably pregnant, but I don’t know, I’m not—”
“Wait, what, pregnant?” Pen half shouts, an excited look on her face. “Have you taken a test?”
Lauren laughs. “No, not yet. I might do it tomorrow after the party,” she adds, holding up her drink. “Gotta enjoy this first.” She winks at both of us before walking away to find Jack.
“Oh my god,” Penny breathes out.
“That drink looked an awful lot like the non-alcoholic cider Jack made,” I say, watching as Lauren cuddles up to Jack, who wraps a protective arm around her.
“You think?” she asks.
I roll my eyes, grinning as I gesture toward them. “Yes, Clueless,” I say, repeating her words back to her. “My bet is, she already knows she’s pregnant.”
“Oh my god, that’s so amazing,” Penny says, clearly excited. Her reaction makes my heart flip, seeing her this happy about our friend’s baby news. I can’t wait to see the look on her face the day we find out we’re having a baby.
“Wanna get out of here?” I whisper. “Go get some more practice in?”
Pen turns to look up at me, her eyes filled with lust. “Yes.”
We say our goodbyes, before heading out of Apple Jacks and walking back toward our home. The walk takes us past the lake that is now filled with some seriously dirty memories and as we come up to the path, Penny squeezes my hand and says, “Can we sit out here for a minute?”
Grinning, I lift our joined hands to my lips. “You sure we’re just gonna sit?”
She swats at my chest. “Yes, there are far too many people around for that!”
Laughing, I lead us down the path to her pond. “Well, you might just have to try being quiet then.”
Penny tugs on my hand, pulling me down to the grass. She moves so she’s straddling me, my smile widening as I slip my hands around to her ass. “Behave,” she warns.
“No fucking chance, babe,” I reply, slipping my hands underneath her skirt.
She gasps when my fingers slide beneath her panties, teasing her as I move between her legs. “Tommy, wait,” she says, breathless.
