“Oh, trust me, Dylan, you are making a difference. It might not be the way you expected, but you are literally pleasing women everywhere.”

We’re both laughing again, and I’m so glad he trusted me with this story. It’s definitely one that will go down in history. I really can’t believe he doesn’t go around telling it though. It’s priceless and the perfect drunken party story.

“So you honestly never used this story to pick up women? It feels like a missed opportunity to me,” I tell him, giggling a little as I wipe at my eyes.

“Nope never, but I’m pretty sure my roommate was peddling it all over the campus bars after I left, using my name to pick up women.” Dylan lets out a mock annoyed huff.

“At least someone benefited from the story, and now I kinda want to meet this roommate. He was the smart one to take advantage of something like this.”

“I guess I was too embarrassed that my invention failed to see it as something positive at the time. Now obviously, I’m pretty pleased with how it turned out, but I can’t use the story to pick up women because I already have the one I want.”

“Oh, Dylan,” I coo, resting my head on his chest. “You’re so sweet. I love that you wanted to help the kittens and I love your story.”

“So what do you say we try this thing out?” he asks, a wolfish grin on his face. “I’ve got it in every color it came in, but I think the pink one is in my nightstand.”

He really knows how to make me laugh, and it’s hard to believe there was a time when I didn’t see a future with him. Now I can’t picture my life without him.

“Bust that baby out!”
