Sabine

I relax in my chair,my belly full from the delicious food I just scarfed down with Rowan. it's been a while since she and I had been able to stay around and just hang out with each other. For the most part, I left her at the new club while I ran around trying to find a way to continue to help my family with the other parts of the business. Felix called us in a few days ago and told us that he received an anonymous call from someone informing us that someone was coming for us. I don't know who is stupid enough to do that, but I'm not worried in the least. Felix didn't give us much more information except the fact that we needed to be careful what were doing with the businesses and if we intended to make any extra moves that he needed to know about it. It was only then that I let him know about the club that I owned on my own. He was upset that I'd kept it from him for so long at first, but within a few minutes he was back to his normal self. He didn't think whatever was happening had anything to do with my club.

Now that I was in the clear for the moment, at least I could just relax and go on with my life which is as hectic as ever.

"You ate that food like it was your last supper." Rowan makes fun of me and I look down at my phone to check the time. She's right, I ate in like ten minutes flat.

"Sorry, I didn't realize I was moving so fast."

"Uh huh, I'm sure. You got somewhere to be after this?" She raises her eyebrows and I give her a sly smirk.

"Are you ever going to tell me what's going on?" She asks, leaning in slightly like it's a big secret.

Technically, it is. It's my biggest secret, but I don't think I can hold it in anymore. I'm just so stupidly happy that I don't know what to do with the feelings anymore.

"Listen, you can't say anything okay, but I've been seeing someone for a while now. His name is Trey. Rowan, there's no other way for me to put it. I'm falling in love with him and it's scary and perfect and exciting...oh, it's everything.I don't even know what to do." The words come out of my mouth like a fucking rushing stream, and she has to sit back in order to follow along with what I'm saying.

"I knew it! I fucking knew it! I can't believe you kept this from me! You have to tell me everything right now! Iwhyat does he look like how long has this be going on tell me it all.!" Rowen plops her elbows on the table and cradles her chin in her hand, complete focused on what i'm about to tell her. I laugh at her dramatics but it doesn't stop me from spilling my guts about Trey. It feels so good to finally get all of this off my chest and then on top of that, she seems as excited as I am about him. Like everything I'm telling her about how he acts makes it perfectly normal for me to be falling in love with him.

"Oh Sabine, "She stops me from talking for a second, and her eyes shine with unshed tears.

"Hey, what's the matter, what's that about." I point to her face worried that she about to have an emotional breakdown or something. I can't deal with that swing of emotion right now.

"Nothing's the matter Sabine., You've just spent so long convincing everyone that you're not going to be with anyone. You made us all believe that you were completely happy all on your own and that you'd be a loner for as long as the earth was spinning. Yet here you are with love in your eyes and the brightest smile I've ever seen on your face over a man. You deserve this type of happiness and I'm just so fucking happy for you right now."

Her words hit close to home and my heart fills with a pressure until I feel it pushing up to my face and then my eyes. I put a hand to my mouth and before I know it tears are strolling down my face and I have. to cover my mouth to keep the happy sobs in. I finally found someone for me.

After the dinner,I get a text from Trey to let me know that he's going to be late tonight because of work, so I tell him that I'm going to the club with Rowan. I need to spend more time with her in the anyway. I want to make sure I don't lose out on spending time with my friends because all I want is to spend time with Trey. He tells me that he's sorry about the lateness, but that I should have fun with Rowan.

We go to my club not and for once, it's not to work but simply to have a good time. I don't feel uncomfortable here in the least because I know the security here is second to none and they'd never let anything happen to me or Rowen.

I'm surprised to see the line outside the club is sprawled all the way around the corner waiting to get in. It's a great feat, especially for this part of New Orleans. I wanted my place to be a success but I never thought that it would turn out like this.

There''s a bit of grumbling from the line when I just walk in with Rowen behind me. From what they can see we just cut the long line.

Those are the perks of being an owner. I can't help the smile on my face. Those poor people just waiting, I should feel bad for them.

The music is loud, and the dance floor is almost full. I can see why the line is so long outside, there’s barely any space in here to move around. I don't want the fire marshall to come in here and shut us down because of code violations.

I walk over to one of the security guards and pull him, so I can speak in his ear.

"Make sure the count in here is accurate. I don't want to hear anything about there being too many fucking people in here, you understand?" I pull back and look in his eyes. The man nods once and when I turn around, I see Rowan glaring at me.

I put my hands up into a shrug to indicate I don't know why she's upset.

"Are you kidding me? You said no working!" She screams at me over the music.

I nod and grab her hand to walk over to the bar. "No working, I turn and mouth to her.

We order ourselves a few drinks and really get into the groove as the alcohol makes us a little bolder.

About an hour later we're on the dance floor. Having a great time. Two guys come up to us, one of them is tall with a bald head and a plaid button-up shirt which somehow makes him look like a douchebag that's trying to be a douchebag. Not even sure how that's' possible but he pulled it off. The other is a little more handsome, he has a light-brown complexion with a short curly hair cut. His beard is immaculate and his teeth are pearly white. If I didn't have Trey, I'd be interested in him in a heart beat.

"You girls look like you might need some company tonight. You know just to keep away all the weirdos." The bald guy says talking to Rowen.
