Trey

I can't believethis is actually happening, all this time has passed and Dimitri has only been focused on his wife. At least that's what I thought until he called me in tonight as his right hand man to a meeting with the last line of people in the cartel he needed to talk to before he got his next shipment in.

I'm in a state of shock once the meeting is over and Dimitri pulls me into one of the back rooms, basically jumping up and down in excitement.

"You did really well in there,Trey. I knew I did the right thing by bringing you on to handle shit while I was off playing the domestic husband." he claps me on the back like he's proud of me, and honestly, it makes me want to vomit.

I keep a small smile on my face just to make sure that I'm not making him uncomfortable, "Yeah, you know I'll get shit done, though I was a bit surprised when you told me we had this meeting today. I hadn't heard anything about you getting in this shipment for weeks."

He scoffs out in disgust, "You know those fucking cartel bastards, they only do shit on their own time. They told me weeks ago that we'd get notice when the product was on the way. That just means when they call, we need to be ready. " Dimitri shrugs before he drops in a chair and runs a hand through his hair.

This is the first time in a long while that I've seen him even a little bothered by something. The problem is if he's bothered by it that means I need to be bothered. That's what happens when you're the back up guy to a crazed criminal.

"So what's the plan? Do we know how much product we have coming in or did they keep that little bit of information a secret too?" I ask with a twinge of sarcasm in my voice.

"No." He looks back up at me, a devilish smile on his lips now. "Trey, we're going to have enough product to flood the streets of New Orleans at least four times over, and the best part of it is, I'm going to make sure those Delancy fuckers are the ones to take the fall. "

I shake my head in confusion, what the hell does that mean? "What are you talking about? You think they are going to want to help you do something like this?"

"No, of course not. They think they are above all the low-level shit now, but I'll make sure when we go to pick up all the evidence leads back to the Delancy's I don't want them around when I start to take over the city. In a few months time, I'm not going to have anyone around to oppose me." He leans back and stretches his arms back in victory.

"You're going to frame them?" I ask straight out.

This is impossible and not what I thought Dimitri would do in the least.

"Well, you say it like they wouldn't do the same to me if they had a chance. This way I can get all of them off the street at once and then once they're in lock up I'm sure I can pay a few people to handle them, so they never see the outside again. I'm done with that whole fucking family." He tilts his head and glares at me for a second before he continues to talk, this time his voice takes on a bit of a haunted sound. I've heard through the grapevine that you’ve been keeping tabs on Sabine like I asked." He says, and I have to clamp down all my muscles to keep from showing the panic. I thought I was being careful about who saw me and Sabine together. I thought he didn't know yet.

"Yeah, You told me you wanted me to get her to trust me."

He laughs, wrapping his arms around his stomach while hie throws his head back,"Yeah, I never thought you'd do it so thoroughly. Last I heard from my sources, they say the woman looks delighted. It's going to break her in two when she finds out it was me that had her put away, and that you were the one I used to do it. I can't wait to see the pain. Fuck, just thinking about it gives me a fucking hard on." He rubs his hands down the front of his pants, and I look away, so I don't give in to the temptation to break my fist on his face.

"Yeah, well, if there's one way to get in deep with a woman is to make them happy. I was only doing what you needed me to do. But if your're going to get the Delancy's framed, where does that leave her? Will she be part of that, or are you going to leave her out here ?"

He looks up to the side for a moment as if he's deep in thought before he focuses back on me.

"You know when I first asked you to bring her in I had all these plans that involved me raping her several times a day, you too if you wanted, but now that I've got my wife, I don't really think she'd appreciate me doing that shit. No. I want her to hurt, but I think she'd be much better off behind bars, where I can ensure she'd be hurt every night. I wonder if she'd kill herself? That's could be enough reason right there to get her picked up too. She betrayed me the worst, now the bitch gets to pay. " Dimitri laughs, and I force myself to do the same.

"Yeah, this shit is working perfectly. So, you said a couple of months you'll be able to take over. Do we have a prospective date when the product will be here?" I push the conversation forward. Relying on my DEA training to stop myself from beating him down for talking bad about my woman.

"Oh yeah, in about two weeks. I need to set up the warehouse where they will deliver it. It's one of the Delancy's or at least it will be once they buy it out. I'm about to make it really easy for them to implicate themselves.

The more Dimitri talks about what he’s going to do to the Delancy's and to Sabine, the more my fucking stomach rolls. I don't have enough time to get them all out of the way, and I need to make sure Sabine stays protected. If her brothers go down for this, than so will she. I can't allow that to happen.

Right now, it seems Dimitri's plan is reliant on the fact that the Delancy's don't know anything about the shipment. I know if I go to Marcel with this information he' going to tell me to let it play out, and we will get the Delancy's out after it's all said and done, but I can't allow them to go to jail for something like this. I can't allow Sabine to spend one night behind bars when I know that I can help her.

I stand at attention as Dimitri goes over the last bits of his plan that are supposed to happen over the next two weeks, and make sure that I make mental notes of the parts of his plant that involve the Delancy family. I give my opinion about shit when he asks, but for the most part, I'm just a springboard for him to bounce things off of.

After listening to his so-called master plan for all of an hour, I'm basically wanting to tear my skin off in order to get away from him.

The minute I walk out I do the one thing I know I shouldn't. If Marcel found out it could be cause for me to get fired, and it might bring down the entire fucking operation.

I find a burner phone and call my girlfriend's brother.

Felix answers the phone and I tell him in no uncertain terms that he's got an enemy coming for him in the next two weeks, and he needs to be prepared. It'll take down his entire family. He must be smart and double check all his businesses, even the new ventures. In two weeks, his life can change.

Of course, I don't tell him who I am, and that only stands to make Felix more suspicious. I tell him if he doesn't listen to what I'm saying, Dimitri will win. I hang up on him before I can give him any indication who I am. I hope it's enough to get the Delancy family to stay out of harms way, but I know it's not going to be enough to deter Dimitri. One way or another, he's going to come after them in the next few weeks. I just have to make sure Sabine is protected when he does.
