Sabine

My head poundsslightly with what I can only suspect is the beginning of a headache when I roll over in bed and pick up my phone. It's been buzzing non-stop for the last ten minutes. I don't get many days to just relax at home and not worry about work so when I do get a chance to I definitely don't want to be disturbed.

I groan when I see it's a FaceTime call from Olivia. I could pretend that I don't see it but she doesn't really call that often.I'd hate myself if something were wrong and I didn't answer. I slide the indicator towards accept and regret it immediately.

"What are you doing in bed! No, no, no... get up!" Olivia yells at me before I even have a chance to fully open my eyes.

"What? Why? What's the matter?" I sit up quickly, trying to figure out what exactly she's going on about.

Olivia lets out a long breath befores she stares at me through the screen, I can see the disappointment in her eyes. "You promised." Her voice lowers.

"Promised what?" I ask confused.

"You promised that we could have a girls night. It's the only time I get away from the kids and as much as I love them i'm going out of my mind over here. If you cancel then Corentina is going to cancel and I don't know when the next time I'm going to be able to get another chance like this and I'm-"

"Okay, okay, okay!" I cut her off because I know she's going to give me every last excuse that she can think of and she's right I did promise today we'd have a girls night. "I completely forgot. I have a bit of a headache but let me take some asprin and I'll get dressed okay." As the words fly off my tongue I watch Olivia's face brighten. I know how much she looks forward to our time out.

"Great, what do you think, like an hour?"

"Yeah, I think I can pull myself together by then. How do you feel about going to a new club? It just opened." I didn't tell her that it was my club that I opened without anyone knowing but that would be for another time.

She gasps quickly, "Ooh, sounds like fun. Send me all the details and we'll meet you there in an hour."

"Got it." I don't bother to say bye, instead just hang up and shoot her over the club information. I drop back down on the bed and squeeze my eyes shut for a second. No sense in putting off the inevitable. I force myself off the bed and get my butt into gear. Time for me to play the happy sister.

The girls are impressedthat I'm able to get us into the club with so little problems. They still don't know it's my place to begin with. I think I'll keep that bit of information to myself for a while. The music is intense but I'm happy to find out it doesn't push me back into having another headache. I order a bottle of champagne for the table and pour some for the girls.

"This place is so awesome! I think we should make this our permenant spot!" Olivia yells over the music at me and I simply give her a nod. I have no problem doing that. Just another way for me to keep tabs on the business. Not that I really have too. All of the waitresses are respectful and do their jobs. When they see me they pay me the appropriate respect but they don't make a big deal about me being their boss.

"I agree, this place is great!" Corentina says just as she picks up her drink and spins in place once to the music.

The both of us laugh at her before we really start to get into the music. By the time I look up again, the three of us are sweating slightly and blushing with exertion.

"Ugh! I can't tell you how bad I needed this!" Olivia says.

"I bet those babies are running you ragged." I smile at her.

"The little babies and the big baby." She rolls her eyes and the two of us cackle.

"Don't be like that. You know you love it." Corentina pokes at her.

"Yeah, I do. Talk about loving it." Olivia picks up her drink and shifts her gaze over my shoulder, trying to be discreet.

Corentina picks up on what she's doing before I can. "Oh, goodness, he's hot." She whispers through clenched teeth before she looks away herself, "And he's staring at you Sabine."

That captures my attention and I slowly turn my gaze in that direction just to see who they happen to be talking about. My thighs tighten the very second I get a good look at this man. I've never seen him before, I plan to remedy that as soon as I can. I keep his gaze for a second and when takes a sip of his whiskey and then curls his lip up into a smirk I have to look away. A soft moan falls from my mouth and I bite my lip.

He's so damn sexy.

Neither of us have said a word to each other, but I can feel the chemistry slingshotting between the two of us. It's been a while since I've felt a lust this strong. So long in fact I'm not even sure what to do with it.

Olivia nudges me, "Go talk to him." She says to me over the lip of her glass as she pretends to take another sip.

"What? No way."
