“Of course not.” Connie cowered, a blush spreading across her pale face. “I meant no disrespect.”
“Julian and Kayla are personal guests of mine and are not to be approached or questioned.” He glanced around the hall, searching for something. “Am I clear?”
“Yes.”
“Yes, what?”
“Yes, Master M.” Connie dropped her gaze to the floor.
“You’re here because a trusted Dom referred you. I’m not sold on you yet,” Martin said as he located who he seemed to be seeking out. “Roxy,” he called to a woman walking along the corridor.
“Yes, Sir.” The thin, pretty redhead with bare feet hurried over to him.
“I have an assignment for you.” Martin glared at Connie and back to Roxy.
“Anything,” she responded without hesitation.
“Connie is new to our establishment. She’s been observing the past few days, but I think it would be beneficial for her to have an escort while she is in the main club.”
“That’s not necessary,” Connie said. “I won’t cause a problem.”
“It’s not a request.” Martin’s tone was even. It was chilling how calm he could be while evoking such fear. “Roxy will show you around. You’ll arrange with her to be here when she is available to accompany you. She will show you the ropes and teach you what is and isn’t acceptable when in my space. We can reevaluate after Roxy reports back to me in a few weeks.”
A strong wave of arousal coursed through Kayla as she witnessed Master M in full Dominant mode. The man didn’t take any shit, especially not from a wanna-be-submissive like Connie. If Martin didn’t have Kayla’s respect before, he just won her over.
“Are we clear?” Martin asked.
“Yes,” Connie whispered. “I’d be happy to shadow Roxy.”
“Roxy, please take care of her while she’s in my club.”
“Yes, Sir. Consider it done.” Roxy looked at Connie. “Why don’t you come upstairs with me and I’ll show you the private lounge where you can have access to the saunas and steam rooms?”
“That sounds lovely.” Connie glanced at Kayla and smiled. “Enjoy the rest of your night.”
“Connie,” Julian said before she could walk away. “I meant what I said a few months ago. Don’t cause any problems for me.”
“I know.” Connie held her head up and walked down the hall.
“What did you tell her?” Kayla asked.
“It’s not important.” Julian took her hand, bringing it to his mouth and placing a soft kiss on her knuckles. “Are you ready to go home?”
“Be sure to take a hot bath and relax,” Martin said. “You’re probably going to be sore after tonight’s session.”
“Sorry about Connie.” Kayla shrugged. “I never expected to see her here.”
“Don’t apologize, but I would like to speak with you.” He looked to Julian. “I like to make sure my clients are in a secure environment. I can’t have a rogue submissive causing issues here.”
“Connie is harmless, but I’ll give you her backstory tomorrow,” Julian said. “It was only an issue for Kayla and myself at Sapphire, but now that she’s seen us here, I hope she won’t cause another problem.”
“I’ll evaluate the situation once we discuss the potential problem,” Martin assured Julian before addressing Kayla. “You did extremely well today. I look forward to our next session.”
“Thank you, Sir.” Heat filled her cheeks as she rocked from foot to foot.
Julian kissed the top of her head. “Come on, let’s get you home and into a hot bath.”
“You spoil me.” She clasped her fingers with his. “I like it.”
