“Being addicted to your submissive is a good thing, as long as you know who is in control.”

It had always been easy for Julian to express his desires to Martin. He didn’t judge and had a way of making Julian feel at ease when it came to his preferences in the bedroom.

“I know you can do this with Kayla. You can find a way to make your two lives intertwine. Many people in this community are both Dominant and submissive, but can still manage a vanilla lifestyle when the situation calls for it.”

“You mean everyday life.”

“That tends to get in the way.” He laughed. “But, yes, you and Kayla aren’t in this for a twenty-four hour arrangement, and there is nothing wrong with that. You’re not the first couple to try what you’re on the verge of allowing me to introduce you to.”

“I know what she needs from me. I want to give it to her as much as she wants to submit to me. Having you help us is what we both need.”

“You have my full support.” Martin glanced at his watch. “Don’t keep that beautiful woman waiting too long. I’ll draw up the consent forms. You discuss limits with Kayla, and we’ll begin in a few days. If she changes her mind, no hard feelings.”

“I appreciate everything. I never expected you to take us on exclusively.”

“That’s exactly what this situation requires.”

Chapter 3

“You were quiet through dinner.” Julian entered his code in the keypad to gain access to his penthouse. “Are you okay?”

Kayla wasn’t sure she wanted to have this conversation. Perhaps she should have addressed these doubts when they left Martin’s office, but she didn’t know how to express them.

She followed him into the foyer, turning so he could slip her coat off her shoulders once they reached the closet. He kissed her neck, resting his hand on her hip. “You have to tell me what you’re feeling. I can’t reassure you if I don’t know where to begin.”

“He scares me,” she admitted.

“I’d be concerned if he didn’t.”

“I have to call himSir.”

“It’s a title of respect,” he reminded her.

“I don’t have to call you that.”

“I’m not hardcore, but some of my partners in the past have called me Sir. It made them comfortable and helped to put them in the right frame of mind during a scene.”

“You never asked that of me.”

“It wasn’t right for us, but with Martin, it’s the only way he knows. I’m afraid the title will be non-negotiable.”

The name didn’t bother her. It was just an excuse for her to stress. She told Julian she wanted to try this, and she wasn’t going to back out; she just needed to vent her fears to him.

“What if he pushes me too far? What if I don’t like it? What if I fail you?”

“Whoa.” He spun her around, taking her forearms in his grasp. “You could never fail me. If training with Martin is going to cause this much anxiety, then we’re not going to do it.”

“I want to do it,” she whispered. “Maybe that’s what scares me. It’s not normal to bring another man into our intimate life, but I want him there.” She rocked back and forth. “I think.”

“Whose definition of normal?” He tilted her chin, his gaze burning into hers, stripping her mind, reaching into the depths of her soul, and extracting the truth. “What we do in our private time is no one else's business. When we came together, I promised I’d show you the life you craved. You wanted my dominance. I’m giving you that.”

“I know.” Their relationship had grown in such a short time. It started out as a sexual arrangement, but both quickly learned there was far too much between them for it to stop there. She couldn’t forget how they had begun. She did ask for his dominance. That was their common link. They thrived off their play time.

“How about we take a shower?” He rested his hand on her neck, rubbing his thumb along her jaw. “I’ll de-stress you.”

“I have a better idea.” She kissed the pad of his thumb when he swiped it over her lips. “If you agree.”

“What would that be?” He focused on her mouth.
