I thought a moment. “Are they going to the city?” I just assumed Ashton would drive Luna home after her visit at the hospital.

“I don’t know. This was more Piper’s idea. I just go with the flow.” Gigi shrugged.

“Interesting.”

A little bit later, we were pulling into a parking lot by some bar. “This place doesn’t even have a name. Are you sure we aren’t going to get murdered here?” I just hoped they made my death unique. None of this boring shit that happens so much, it’s overdone. Skin me alive or something and make it worthwhile. God, I needed to get a life.

“Piper mentioned it.” Gigi sat forward. “But yeah, this place looks creepy. Although, it is in a safer part of town.” She shrugged. “Can’t be that bad.”

“Right,” I said slowly. “Cause that’s what every victim says before they get slaughtered.”

“You watch too many movies.” She stepped out of the car.

“I do not.” I followed her, slamming the door shut behind me. “Just because horror movies inspire me when I bake, doesn’t mean I watch too many of them.”

She laughed, hooking an arm around my shoulders. “Yeah, it does.”

“Whatever. At least my treats turn out tasty.” Baking was my calling. I lived and breathed pastries, donuts, cakes…it was also why I had a few extra pounds in my hips, ass, and tits. Although, my breasts did get me out of many speeding tickets.

Gigi and I crossed the street, heading to the bar that looked more rundown and like it didn’t belong in this part of the city.

Motorcycles sat in the alley beside the building. I paused in my steps, letting my eyes rake over the beautiful machinery. Each bike was different. In size. Color. Style.

“Meadow?”

I jumped, my cheeks burning at being caught staring. “Just looking.”

Gigi nodded toward the motorcycles. “Remember, you can’t touch the pretty bikes.”

“I know.” I sighed. I went to follow Gigi into the bar when one of the bikes caught my eye. It was bigger. With a deep blood red gas tank, it held a black skull on it. I had seen that skull before. I glanced around me, making sure that I was alone after Gigi had gone into the bar.

Once I was satisfied that I wouldn’t get maimed, I ran my finger along the gorgeous artwork. What I wouldn’t give to feel the rumble of the engine between my legs. I bet this bike growled like a lion.

“Careful.”

My heart jumped to my throat. I slowly glanced over my shoulder, finding an older man leaning against the brick wall. His thick arms were crossed under his chest. His piercing green eyes bore into mine. A light smattering of brown scruff covered his jaw like he hadn’t shaved in a few days.

“She’s beautiful,” was all I said.

“I agree.” But he wasn’t looking at the bike.

My body buzzed at the emerald orbs peering at me but as much as I wanted to play with this new stranger, I had to get inside and join the girls.

“Well, this was fun.” I walked by him when a hand reached out to grab my upper arm. I met his stare, getting lost in his eyes.

He peered down at me. His tongue peeked out, licking along his bottom lip.

My eyes followed the movement, a hot shiver racing down my spine at the sight. Nothing was said but something definitely slid between us.

Clearing my throat, I pulled from his grip and headed into the bar.

I was going to fuck her. How I knew this, I wasn’t sure but the tiny little thing that just walked past me, with heat in her eyes, was definitely going to be mine. Or ours I should say.

“Hey.”
