"Go on sweetie," the lady wore a smile that made me feel… good? "I'm not really sure, cause it's my first time and all but I'm willing to learn, and

with time I believe I can grow into the right fit," I replied.

What the fuck was that?! That wasn't the plan at all! Stupid, stupid! "Oh, I get it," the lady said, "Welcome aboard Nick."

"Thank you, uh..?"

"Hmm?"

"Could I know your name, please?"

She looked confused, and Alyson did too. They exchanged glances and both looked

at me. Was it wrong to ask her name?

"I'm Aria," she said as she ran a finger through her hair, "Aria Wolfe." "Nice to meet you Aria," I said.

"Believe me the pleasure is mine," she worded it weirdly but I'll take it. Aria went upstairs, she must have been one of the design team members. Ah, that

was not important, I lost my chance to come clean.

"That's a first," Alyson remarked.

"Hmm? What was?" I asked.

"You're literally the only person I've met this year who doesn't know who she is." Was there something I was missing?

"Is she like a celebrity or something?" I asked.

"I'd say a mixture of both," she sighed, "She's the Alpha of the Wolf Pack." Eh? I didn't get it.

I took another look at the photo of the blue-eyed brunette, "Are they related?" "Related?" She looked at the picture, "They are the same person." I looked at the picture again, and... it was.

My phone started buzzing. I checked and it was a text from mom. How's my little photographer doing? Were you able to get the job? Well knowing

you, I know you did congrats. Your dad is getting better and I was able to get some

money to pay for his drugs. Be sure to come to see him soon, he misses you. We all do. Looks like there's no turning back now. The phone buzzed again…. a text from

Hunter.

Looks like you might have to wing it and hope to not get caught. Why? What happened? I texted.

I got in touch with the other design company and there are no more vacant

positions. Hunter replied.

Oh!

Best of luck. In the meantime, I'll get you another job.

Thank you, bro. I texted back.

"Ah, quite early aren't we?" Mr. Michael walked in, "Follow me I'll show you where

you'll be working."

"Good morning sir," I said.
