“Hmm…” her gaze got even more intense.

“Ah, we’re here,” I pointed at the building.

“Oh, okay,” she said as she looked at the building. We stood there…

“Umm… aren’t we going in?” she asked.

“My arm…”

“What happened to it?”

“You’re not letting go?”

“No, why?”

“Well we… never mind.”

We walked into the building and Alyson was looking at some photographs and was about to head upstairs.

“Good morning, Alyson,” I greeted.

“Ah, Nick you’re finally…” she turned to look at us and stopped mid-sentence as the photographs fell from her hand.

“What’s this? Is Nick here?” Michael said as he was coming downstairs, he took a sip from his coffee but spat it out as he saw us.

The heck?

“Ah, Mr. Michael, I need you to… Gah!” The team member who I was working with the other day was behind Michael and froze in his tracks while looking at us.

“Eh, about these posters…” Aria came out of the studio holding one of the posters and stopped as she looked at us… she was equally shocked.

Was a lady holding my arm that weird?

“Good morning guys, uhm.” I looked at her as I spoke, “Sorry I’m late, I ran into this customer here who lost her way and had to bring her here.”

Everyone looked at me and then at her and then at each other. They straightened themselves and curtseyed, “Good morning and welcome, Mrs.Wolfe.”

Aria also curtseyed, “Good morning, mom.”

Wait… what?

I turned to the woman clinging to my arm.

“Good morning everyone, you’re all looking lovely,” she said then turned to me, “Thank you for escorting me, Mister?”

“Parker… Nick Parker,” I swallowed.

“Even the name sounds familiar,” she said then let go of my arm, “Aria, we need to have some girl talk.”

Aria flinched a little then replied, “Yes, mother.”

Mrs. Wolfe headed upstairs while Aria followed behind her.

“How the hell did you meet her?” Michael asked.

“Why was she holding your arm?” Alyson asked.

“I swear she said she was lost and twisted her ankle,” I raised my arms in defense.
