“It’s truth or dare. Whoever spins the bottle gets to demand a truth or a dare from someone,” Derek said. “You used to love spin the bottle, remember?”

“When I was twelve,” Noah said.

Skye chuckled.

“You ever played?”

“No.”

“Then that’s how we roll. We’ll join in.”

Noah put her on one side of the circle, forcing people to move out a little so they both could join.

She didn’t like this.

Luke was the one to spin the bottle. Her heart pounded as it slowed down. It missed her by one person.

“Ah, Britney, truth or dare.”

“Truth,” Britney said.

“Have you ever taken it up the ass?”

A chorus of laughter filled the air.

“Ew, gross. No, of course I haven’t. That’s too far for me.”

“My turn,” Derek said.

He spun the bottle, and much to her dismay, it landed on her. She was trying not to freak out.

“Truth or dare?”

“Erm, truth,” she said. The last thing she wanted to do was be a party pooper and refuse to do a dare.

Noah liked this game. She could tell quite easily, but he clearly didn’t see how … bad this could go.

“Okay, do you like my buddy, Noah?” he asked.

Easy. “Yes.”

There was a loud chorus of whoops, and Noah laughed. “Of course she does. It’s me.”

Gritting her teeth, she waited as the bottle kept on spinning. One of the guys spun the bottle, and it landed on Noah.

“Truth.”

“What was it like to be kidnapped?”

And that was one of the questions she had hoped would never turn up. This game had lost its appeal.

“It sucked. I wouldn’t recommend it to anyone.”

With that, the bottle moved.

She stared at Noah, and he offered her a smile that didn’t quite reach his lips.

When it landed on her, she took a dare.
