“I didn’t know you were a coffee connoisseur.”

“There are plenty of things that you don’t know about me, Princess,” he says, pulling off his hoodie and t-shirt and dropping them onto the floor at his feet, his broad shoulders and chest rippling with muscles. I swallow hard, trying and failing not to stare. I’ve seen him bare chested a million times before in the ring at Tales, but never here, at home, with just the two of us. It seems far too intimate somehow.

“Yeah, like what?” I ask, tucking my hands in my joggers and acting way more unbothered than I actually feel.

“Now that would be telling.” Beast points to the pile of clothes. “Wouldn’t mind sticking them in the washing machine, would you, seeing as we’re family now, baby…” he asks, before striding off towards the stairs, leaving me fuming at his audacity and quaking at the implication.

I really, really shouldn’t have called him Daddy.

“Want to watch a movie?”I ask as Beast steps into the lounge half an hour later, dressed in a pair of joggers and a t-shirt. He doesn’t live with us at the house, but my dad gave him a key and one of the spare rooms so he can stay over whenever he needs which, as of late, is more often than not, given Carter is away so much on business.

“I need to get rid of the hearts,” he replies.

“No need. Dom came and collected them. He’s on it.”

“Well, shit, thanks,” he says, dropping onto the sofa next to me. “I could do with unwinding a bit. A movie would be good.”

“You should’ve got Joey to look at that,” I say, pointing at the gash on his cheek held together with some medical tape. It’s clean, but weeping a little still.

“I went to his place before I came here but he was busy fucking one of his dolly birds.”

“Really?” I pull a face.

Beast shrugs. “He may be in his sixties but that man has got a queue of women waiting to bed him.” Pointing to the mug of coffee and the bacon sandwich on the coffee table, he asks, “Is that mine?”

“I thought you might be hungry.”

“You thought right.” He grins at me. “Cheers, Princess, I could get used to this.”

“Don’t get any funny ideas, I’m not your skivvy.”

He smiles around a mouthful of sandwich. “I don’t suppose you put my clothes in the wash?”

I raise a brow. “Didn’t anyone tell you it’s rude to speak with your mouth full?”

“I take it that’s a no?”

“It’s ahell no.Just because I’m a girl it doesn’t mean I’m automatically hardwired to serve an ignorant fuckwit who thinks it’s okay to dump his dirty clothes on the floor and expect me to clean up after him. It was more than enough to clean up your blood from the kitchen floor and scrub the counter.”

Beast chuckles. “Yet you did thatandmade me a sandwich and a cup of coffee…”

“BecauseIwanted to,” I grind out. “I don’t, however, want to deal with your dirty washing, so I suggest you pick it up off the floor before Nadia arrives on her shift in a few hours because you know she hates a mess.”

“As soon as we’ve watched this movie and I’ve tucked you in bed, IpromiseI’ll do that.”

Snatching up the remote, I flick through the selection of movies on screen, ignoring his comment about tucking me into bed and the smirk on his face as he eats. Eventually I find what I’m looking for and press play.

“Lock, Stock and Two Smoking Barrels? Are you shitting me?” Beast asks, setting his empty plate back on the table and slurping on his coffee.

“I happen to like Jason Statham. Have you got a problem with that?”

Beast tips his head back and laughs, not caring that he could aggravate his gash. “Jason-fucking-Statham,really?”

“What can I say? I like my men older and a little rough around the edges.”

Beast snaps his head around, eyes narrowing. “What, and fuckingbald?”
