Ozni grunted, his arms over his chest. Porter took that to mean that he agreed with them. Cyrus slipped his way between Jaygen and Porter. He laid his head on Porter's shoulder and hugged him tightly.

"You're part of our family now, darling. Did you think we wouldn't protect you? We'll figure this out. Together."

Porter tried to shake them off, but they wouldn't let go. Cy and Jaygen were glued to him. He gave up and glanced at Arden whose face was stern and drawn.

"Arden, what do you think?" Porter whispered.

"I think this is bullshit."

Porter's heart pounded against his chest. This was it, he was going to lose the only place he'd started to call home.

Arden shook his head. "You shouldn't have to live in fear because of your own father. As far as I'm concerned, you'll stay here. We'll have to keep you from going outside and be on alert more, but you're not going anywhere."

"Really?" Porter asked cautiously. "You mean that?"

"God, you're fucking thick!" Foi shouted. "We care about you, idiot. What's wrong with you?"

Porter didn't mean to chuckle, but Foi's loud mouth never failed to do it to him. His shoulders shook, but the laughs dissolved into a sob so deep he felt pain throughout every inch of his body. The sound quickly turned into a gut-wrenching wail. He clung to Cy, and Jaygen had to hold both of them up.

"Okay, it's okay. Move." Arden shoved the other two away before he wrapped Porter up in his arms tightly. The human pressed his face into Arden's massive chest, but he couldn't stop sobbing. "It's okay, Porter. You're safe here."

Porter went limp in his arms and just let Arden hold him. The big man scooped him up and laid him on Cyrus's bed after a while before he patted his uncut cheek.

"I have some things to get in order. Tighter security, more cameras and some spell work. Since I need to talk to those moody pixies, I want you all to stay here. It's gonna be hard enough trying to get them to cooperate."

"We will stay put," Jaygen said as he perched on the bed beside Porter. "I don't think any of us wants to leave him right now, anyway."

"No way in hell." Foi curled up against Porter's side. "I'm not going any-damn-where."

Ozni walked over and pushed Porter up before he climbed into bed behind him. When he laid Porter back down, the man’s head was in his lap. Oz took away the wig and pushed his fingers through Porter's hair before the human started crying all over again at how gentle he was. Cy crawled up the bed and after he fought to get comfortable, he laid on Porter's lap and held him tightly before he tugged on Jaygen's sleeve.

"All of us," he whispered. "We don't need composure right now. Just each other."

Porter glanced at Jaygen. The man removed his jacket and laid it on the nightstand along with his tie. He unbuttoned the sleeves of his button up and rolled them before he rolled over and laid on the left side of Porter. He brushed his thumb across the human’s cheek.

"If you must cry, then cry,” Jaygen said softly.

Being held by all of them at once, Porter had never felt so comforted in his life. There were still so many things they didn't know, but he couldn’t bring himself to say anymore right now. If Cy and Foi hadn't seen him in that alley, he would have killed Alex without a second thought, because he could. But he still wasn't ready for them to see that side of him, the one he tried to keep buried no matter how much it wanted to surface.

When he looked up, Arden was staring at them, a stunned expression on his face. Porter wanted to ask him what he was thinking, but the man smiled and shook his head. He turned and left the room leaving Porter in the middle of the cuddle pile.

It bordered on the bizarre. He never thought in a million years he would be surrounded by different supernaturals who all cared for him in their own way. The reality that he wouldn't have to leave began to sink in and Porter fell apart all over again.

He never wanted to leave his safe haven. He didn’t want to ever abandon them.

Mother fucking cow shit.Cursing in his head wasn’t enough, Foi needed to tear something apart. Anything. He paced the floor in his room, wishing he was back next to Porter, holding the human close to his chest. Foi growled in annoyance, grabbed the lamp on his nightstand and threw it. The lamp crashed against the wall, shattering. It did nothing to calm the rage and wildness inside of Foi.

His wolf wanted freedom, wanted to rip out of him and destroy shit, leaving a trail of bloody corpses in his wake. Foi was finding it hard not to cave to his beast's desires. He seethed as he gripped his hair, pulling until he was sure he would have a fistful of the strands when he released it. The pain did little to dull the blood thirst coursing through his veins. His need to destroy and kill was just too fucking strong to ignore.

Foi felt the need to go back to Porter, but Arden had said the human needed sleep. And Foi got it. Porter more than likely needed time to decompress after he had to relive through all of his childhood drama, but Foi’s wolf wasn’t understanding shit and it was seriously getting hard to control himself.

“Fuck,” Foi growled.

He punched the wall, the drywall caving under his fist like wet paper. His breathing was erratic and Foi knew that he needed to gain control or he’d end up shifting. Foi just needed to see Porter, and then he’d go downstairs into their gym and work out until every limb was so heavy from fatigue he wouldn’t even be able to think about shifting.

Foi grabbed the doorknob so hard his knuckles blanched and there was a creaking noise that echoed around him. He pried his fingers off the doorknob. There were indents in the metal. Arden was going to kill him. First the wall and now the door.

He closed his eyes and forced himself to take deep, even breaths. You are more than the beast... you are man and wolf, one being. What you will is what you receive.Foi repeated the mantra, the one Arden had taught him when he’d found Foi in a forest outside of the city limits, mangled fur and bleeding scars decorating his body. It had taken over a year before Foi had shifted back to human. And another year before he was able to be around other people besides Arden, Jaygen, Cyrus, and Ozni.
