Cy rolled his shoulder before he glanced at it. The flesh was still raw and bleeding, his throat still hurt, but Cyrus felt amazing. It was like he could go on a ten-mile jog and be perfectly fine.

"I'm great," Cy said with a small smile before he chewed his lip. "Didn't Jaygen want you back when you were done?"

"Shit." Oz shifted and Cyrus found himself reaching for the vampire, wanting to tell him to stay. Instead, he refrained. If they had to go then they had to go. "We should check on Porter."

Right, Porter. The one that had gotten beaten up because Cyrus hadn't been able to act. He swallowed thickly and followed Oz's lead as the vampire slipped from bed and he took his hand. Once he was standing, Ozni pulled him close and kissed him long and slow until Cy felt dizzy all over again.

"Let's go check on our guy," Ozni said.

Cy’s heart started to race all over again. There it was. Ozni said ‘our guy.’ Did he even know he’d done it? Warmth flooded Cyrus’ chest and he smiled, softly. This was the first time the vampire ever laid claim to Porter and it solidified one thing in the incubus’s mind. Porter was made forallof them.

Oz led Cyrus over to his dresser. "Looks like you'll be stuck wearing my clothes for a while."

Oh no, how terrible.

"Thank you." Cy’s smile widened at him before he went to his toes and left a kiss on the vampire's cheek. He sucked in a deep breath, steeling himself for what was to come. "Let's go see our Porter."

Ozni grabbed his hand and gave it a squeeze. "You're...really okay with all of this?"

Cyrus laughed. "After a shower, I'll be just fine. That was the best meal I've had in ages."

"Me too." Ozni chuckled and the sound was like music to Cy's ears.

Porter's breathinghad evened out and his heartbeat started to slow down as he fell asleep on top of Foi. The small human had been in so much pain and Foi hadn't been able to do anything but shift.

He laid his head down on his front paws.

"Look at you being all domesticated," Jaygen said.

It was a jab that would normally get under Foi's skin but he couldn't find it in him. He huffed at the tiger shifter. Damn cat. But he couldn't find it in him to truly mean the words.

Foi's eyes closed as Jaygen stroked the top of his head and scratched behind his ears. It felt so natural, although they had never been so gentle with each other. "He's sleeping so soundly."

Soft snores came from Porter. "Even now he feels safe with us," Jaygen said.

Foi wished he could be like Jaygen; all put together even when the most fragile part of them was harmed. Jaygen's hand moved over to Porter, trembling slightly. Foi lifted his head and stared at the man who'd seemed to always be in control.

He was tempted to shift back to talk to Jaygen, to let him know they wouldn't ever let this happen again. They could keep Porter safe. But Foi wasn't sure how just yet. His wolf was more than ready to go rip some people apart. But his sane side knew that couldn't be the answer. It was easy to give in to his animalistic urges and kill the enemy but when the enemies were well-known humans, it wasn't the smart thing to do. Not to mention that supernatural and human relations were already a constant battle. It would affect more than just Foi.

What were they going to do? He let his head fall back to his front paws as the door to Jaygen's room opened once more.

Cyrus and Oz came in holding hands. For the first time, Foi was seeing Ozni genuinely happy after a feeding. He usually looked as if he'd eaten someone's lost puppy. Even if he didn't end up killing every single one of his prey, the daywalker was dangerous in the sense of what he could do, but Oz was the gentlest one out of all of them.

Foi remembered the first time he'd met the man. He'd challenged him and tried to act all tough and Oz hadn't said a word, just smiled at him and nodded, only to not fight back once in the ring with Foi. It had been the start of their friendship.

Jaygen looked just as surprised and relieved as Foi. "Good, you two are back," Jaygen said.

A deep blush crept up Cryus's face. "Uh yeah, we just went to Oz's room."

"You fed as well?" Jaygen asked.

Ozni, as always, said nothing but the way he moved closer to Cyrus spoke volumes.

"Yes," Cyrus said, glancing up at Oz.

Jaygen nodded a genuine smile on his face. "Good, we all need to be at our best at all times, in order to protect him." The rule about not letting the incubus come was quickly forgotten for now apparently. “We all need to be better.”

The room was silent as all eyes went to Porter. Foi turned his head enough to watch the beautiful human sleep. The bed dipped and Foi moved over so that Ozni and Cy both could get in. Porter was lifted from his back and Foi instantly missed the contact.
