"Jay—" Cyrus started but Jaygen interrupted him before he could say anything.

"Both of you will be taking a punishment as well. It is clear to me that you two knew of this creature," Jaygen said sternly.

Foi groaned and opened his mouth but clamped it shut. Jaygen hadn't tossed Spooky out, but brought him to Porter, who was still sound asleep.

"Does this mean he can keep him?" Foi asked.

Jaygen unbuttoned his shirt, ever so slowly. There was nothing but silence as he moved in his usual, calculating way. "Cyrus, put these bottoms on Porter," Jaygen instructed.

Cyrus was all too quick to follow instructions and Foi waited for what felt like forever. Jaygen got undressed and slipped on his own pajama pants. Foi was the only naked one in the bed, not that it bothered him. He prefered sleeping in the nude.

Jaygen finally joined them in bed on Ozni's left. He closed his eyes and Foi continued to stare at him. "Go to sleep, mutt, or I will add to your punishment."

Foi growled and glared at the man for another second just out of spite, before laying down. Jaygen clapped his hands and the light turned off. As soon as they did, the wolf shook his head.

"Fancy bastard," Foi growled.

But the tiger shifter hadn’t kicked Spooky out. And even though he acted as if he hated the creature, Foi was pretty sure he was here to stay.

Plan after planwas tossed into the trash. How in the world were they supposed to keep Porter safe and not start a war at the same time? Jaygen's fingers twitched in annoyance. Frustration like never before continued to bubble inside of him, and he wasn't sure how to get rid of it. None of his usual methods were working. He'd already reorganized his closet and his cabinets. He'd even taken the moment to organize all of the liquor down at the bar, but that had resulted in Arden sending him upstairs, away from his bar and the grumpy dragon himself.

Jaygen growled, his tiger pacing inside of him like a caged beast. He knew he needed to get some type of order or he was going to end up shifting.

"If you sigh anymore, you're going to run out of breath," Cyrus said.

Jaygen's head lifted as he stared at the incubus, unimpressed by his joke. Cyrus smiled brightly at him. Jaygen leaned back and beckoned Cyrus to him.

Cyrus's eyes went slightly wide but he moved closer to the shifter. Before he could grab a chair, Jaygen growled low. "Floor."

The incubus bit his plump bottom lip and his brown eyes scanned the otherwise empty kitchen area before he ever so slowly dropped to his knees in front of Jaygen.

"I guess it's not going well?" Cyrus asked tentatively. His pink tongue peeking out and swiping against his lips.

Jaygen's jaw ticked furiously with tension from clenching his teeth. How could he tell them he'd still hadn't come up with a solid plan? Jaygen had hardly gotten a wink of sleep and there wasn't a clear plan in mind. Jaygen was still coming up blank. The best he'd been able to do so far was move Porter into his room for safety.

Forcing every muscle in his body to relax, he glanced down at Cyrus on his knees in front and it eased a bit of the tension inside of him. Jaygen reached out to Cyrus and tucked a dark strand behind his ear. There were so many emotions swimming in the deep brown pools of the little nymph’s eyes. Emotions Jaygen understood all too well.

Jaygen pinched Cyrus's ear. "You want to tell me what your problem is?"

Cyrus bit his lip, meeting Jaygen's gaze. "Shouldn't we be worrying about more important things?"

Jaygen cocked a brow at the incubus before gripping his chin in a harsh hold. He pushed his thumb down and tilted Cyrus's face up so he was unable to look anywhere else but at Jaygen.

"I asked a question.I expect to be answered."

Cyrus's breath hitched and his tongue swiped out against his lips again. "I, uh.."

Jaygen's eyebrows dipped slightly.

"I don't know," Cyrus said. He glanced off to the left, before returning back to focus on Jaygen. However, they didn't quite meet his gaze as they once had.

Jaygen's head tilted slightly. "Lying to me will only result in punishments." Jaygen released Cyrus and leaned back. "Or is that what you want?”

The slight jerk in Cyrus's body told Jaygen all he needed to know. Jaygen hummed and took note. "Later. For now, rest your head on my lap."

Cyrus opened his mouth.

"I didn't ask for you to speak."
