Don't fall to his trivial bait.

"Have you finished packing?" Jaygen asked.

Foi shrugged and placed his hands behind his head. "Yeah, the bag is right there."

Jaygen’s eyes followed to where Foi's fingers pointed. There was a single duffle bag. Jaygen picked it up and that was it. He couldn't hold it back anymore. There was hardly anything in the bag; two changes of clothes, a toothbrush, and a bottle of lube. The wolf was just so unprepared. It was as if the man was nothing more than a neanderthal.

Jaygen growled. Without a word he went to the window and opened it. He tossed the duffle bag out and shut it before the bag even hit the ground.

"What the fuck, Jaygen?" Foi said.

"Sit," Jaygen growled. His gaze cut to Foi and for a second, it looked as if the werewolf was going to fight him on it. Jaygen would happily give it to him. His skin itched with the chaos around the room and the lack of care Foi had placed in packing.

"I see the stick is lodged deep in your ass today," Foi said, but he plopped back down on the bed.

Jaygen's nerves calmed somewhat with Foi's obedience even if the werewolf continued to talk shit. He blew out a breath and let his gaze roam over the room and instantly his mind started putting things in their rightful place. He ignored Foi's grumbles as he went about straightening up the place.

By the time Jaygen finished he had a perfectly folded stack of clothes that were appropriate for their trip along with spares in case Foi decided to shift and ruin any of them. Unlike when he first walked in, he could clearly see the floor now.

There was a knock at the door and he ignored it in favor of placing all the items in a suitcase the right way and not a damn duffel bag.

"Wow, Foi I don't think I've ever seen your room so clean," Cyrus said.

"Not by choice," Foi grumbled.

"Are you done packing?" Porter asked.

Jaygen zipped the suitcase and glanced over to the three of them. They had a relaxed air around them.

"He is now," Jaygen said, standing and dusting off his pants. "Are the two of you finished?"

Porter sauntered over to him, swaying his hips slightly in that hypnotizing way. The human had no idea the effect just him walking had on Jaygen. It made him feel out of control and Jaygen wasn't used to that, but he didn't want to change that response either.

The moment Porter came into reach, Jaygen snagged the human by his neck and fell prey to his gloss-covered lips. Kissing Porter was like fighting a tsunami of desire. It was chaotic but all-consuming. And for a short second, Jaygen was free from everything. He tightened his hand around Porter's throat pulling a strangled moan from the man. The sound was better than listening to jazz on a quiet afternoon.

"Why don't you two get a room," Foi growled. "One that isn't mine."

"Oh, and where we can watch," Cyrus added helpfully.

Jaygen pulled back and stared into Porter's dilated eyes and wanted nothing more than to give the human what he deserved. But time was a crucial factor, and as much as he wanted to bend Porter over and rearrange his insides, he couldn't allow them to get too sidetracked. Jaygen already wasted time with Foi's room and packing the mutt up. He hadn't had time to check on everyone.

His phone rang on time and Jaygen brushed his lips over Porter's one last time, taking the last of the gloss that had covered Porter’s lips with him.

"Make sure you grab your bag, mutt," Jaygen said.

"I should just toss it out the window," Foi shot back.

Jaygen cocked a brow. "Try me."

Foi's gaze dropped first and Jaygen couldn't help but smile. He ruffled Foi's hair before walking out of the room.

"Why do you push him, puppy?" he overheard Porter asking.

"It's fun and he needs it," Foi said.

Jaygen couldn't deny he enjoyed his back and forth with Foi. Before, it was annoying as shit. He couldn't stand the wolf and wanted him gone the moment Arden had dragged him in. But now, it was different; it was as if their back and forth was more flirtatious. Foi pushed all of Jaygen's buttons, made him want to pounce on the wolf and tear into him and make him submit every single time. He couldn't deny his tiger side thrived off of it.

"Ozni, are you ready to go?" Jaygen asked the daywalker just as he walked out of his room with two suitcases.
