They gathered their things and carried them back to the lake house. No one knew the guys were anything other than human and he saw the relaxation that had captured them. They deserve to have this kind of life all of the time.Living in a place where only the supernatural could go was cruel. Porter realized that finally and yet he was still helpless because that was the way the world worked right now.

Porter changed into his outfit and checked himself out. When his guys laid eyes on him they would be awestruck. He liked seeing them stunned and excited, ready to rip off his clothing. God, his men were out of this world.

"Wow, you look amazing," Cyrus whistled before he stepped up to him and grinned. "Look at how hot you are!"

Porter's cheeks flushed. "It's just okay. Stop it."

Cy beamed. "No way! You look good enough to eat." He licked his lips and panted. "Speaking of eating, want to play with me before dinner?"

Porter laughed. "Sure, but we have to make it quick."

Everyone agreed that whatever Cyrus wanted outside of the host club he would get so that he felt comfortable and safe. The life of an incubus was hard and they didn't want him to have to struggle. It would be safest to keep him satisfied.

By the time Cyrus was a panting mess in the shower, Porter felt more confident. He let Cyrus get cleaned up while he slipped out of the bathroom and glanced around. There had to be a phone he could use somewhere. Porter ended up leaving the lake house, his heart racing. If Jaygen or the others found out he was sneaking around, they would kill him.

Porter had purchased a burner a few weeks prior but he’d been too afraid to use it. But now that he was outside the city, it was now or never. He moved at a brisk pace, it was only a matter of time before his men noticed he was gone. Phone in hand he powered it on with his heart firmly in his throat.Perfect.Amy's number was hardwired in his brain. As soon as he got a good distance away from the house, he pressed the phone against his ear. It rang, his heart raced and he felt like he was going to throw up.

"Hello?"

Porter gripped the phone tightly.Amy.Even one word and he was ready to run to her and have her wrap her arms around him. Between the two of them, she was the bravest and strongest of them. No one could fuck with her and Porter admired that trait in his sister.

"Hello?" She called again before she sighed. "If you're going to play on my phone then fuck off! I don't have time for this shi-"

"You curse a lot more than you used to."

The line was silent before her shaky voice responded in a whisper. "Porter?"

"Hey." It was all he could say before his throat tightened so much he could barely speak. "Amy."

"Oh my god, it's you!" She shouted before she lowered her voice. "I've been thinking about you every day! Are you okay? Are you eating? No, no, are you happy, Porter?"

He chuckled at his sister's worried voice. "I'm good. Yes, I'm fine where I am. I eat a lot. And I'm so happy." He shook his head and sniffled as he stared up at the darkening sky. "I wish you were here, Ames. I wish you could see who I am now."

She laughed lightly. "Me too." Her sniffles made Porter's heart squeeze. "I miss you so much."

"I miss you too."

"Maybe we'll see each other one day."

"Yeah, I hope so. How long can that old asshole live anyway?"

Amy snorted. "Hopefully not long! You have no idea how crazy things have gotten here. It's like he's on some kinda warpath. I'm worried that-"

"Amy? Amy, what were you saying?"

The line went quiet and Porter's breathing quickened. He gripped the phone tightly before she came back onto the line, her voice trembling.

"Gotta go, little brother. Be good. Stay safe. Donotcome back here, do you understand?"

"No, I don't understand!" he snapped. "What's happening?"

"It doesn't matter." Her voice was a mere whisper now. "Look, you're the main one on his shit list and that's never going to change. Wherever you are, don't tell me. Don't tell anyone. I love you, Porter. Whatever phone you're calling me from, smash it and disappear. Trust me. I love you so much."

"I love you-"

The call disconnected. Porter stared at it in his hand. Dread settled into the pit of his stomach and he had to shake himself before he could move again.

"-too."
