Porter broke the little flip phone in half and tossed it in a nearby garbage can. He stared into it, his hands trembling as he gazed into the dark abyss. What's happening to her?The thought that she could be tortured, that she was at their father's mercy the way that he had been made his stomach churn. Something had to be done.

And soon.

Porter collected himself and went back to the house. If Cyrus had discovered he was gone by now, there would be a problem. He prayed they were all still getting ready as he slipped inside. His sister was his own problem. One that he was going to fucking solve.

Pure determination keptFoi moving around and refusing to adhere to Jaygen. The damn tiger shifter had a stick lodged so far up his ass Foi was pretty sure it was impossible to ever remove it. Jaygen was even more controlling than usual. Weren’t they supposed to be on vacation?

“Foi, I demand you get back in the shower and do it correctly,” Jaygen growled.

At one point, that growl would have Foi’s wolf readying for an attack and Foi getting ready to go head to head with Jaygen. But at some point, Foi’s wolf had utterly backed down. It was probably because Jaygen had dominated him so thoroughly that his wolf felt no desire to challenge the alpha male when they fought. It was annoying because Foi very much wanted to continue to push back against Jaygen.

Foi wasn’t some pup. He was a grown-ass man who’d faced hardships and came out fucking alive.

“No,” Foi said. Sometimes Jaygen made him feel like a child, and that too got under his skin.

Jaygen pinched the bridge of his nose, and it was that small display that made Foi’s heart race. He got under Jaygen’s skin just as badly. Foi barely held back the smirk that threatened to appear on his face.

“A shower includes washing your legs,” Jaygen pointed out for the fourth time.

Foi rolled his eyes. “The soap ran down my legs good enough.”

The pulsating vein on Jaygen’s temple seemed to pick up the pace as the tiger shifter glared at Foi. “Who in their right mind taught you how to shower?”

Foi was doing his best not to laugh. Jaygen was genuinely having a hard time with the fact he didn’t wash his legs. He only felt the need if he was rolling the dirt or on the beach. So he’d, in fact, done it this time around, but he knew it would get under Jaygen’s skin if he told him he hadn’t. But there was no real reason to do so regularly.

“It just adds more time in the shower. It’s not necessary.” Not to mention he was already dressed. He didn’t plan on stripping and getting back in the shower because Jaygen had some issues.

Jaygen growled, and his eyes shifted to that of his tiger, as the beast prowled just below the surface.Holy shit. Foi’s heart rate picked up, and his stomach twisted. He’d never seen Jaygen lose control; the man was the picture of control, and here he was barely containing his tiger all because of Foi.

“Why are you smiling like a loon?” Jaygen growled.

Was he?Foi shrugged, not willing to include Jaygen in on his fun.

“There you are Jaygen, can you help me?” Cyrus asked, walking down the stairs in fitted pants that looked painted on him and a shirt that was more ruffles than anything.

Jaygen turned away to see what the issue was. Foi didn’t wait to see or get yelled at again. He turned on his heels and made a run for it. Laughter bubbled out of him the moment he was in the clear. That would teach the kitty cat.

The scent of Porter hit Foi head-on like a frying pan to the face. He groaned from the pure want and desire that seemed to be ever-present when he was around Porter. It was as if Cyrus had given the human his incubus pheromones. Foi just couldn’t get enough of him.

Porter was the perfect prey, the perfect man, and his wolf was a hundred percent in agreement of his assessment of the human. There was some intangible connection that drew him to Porter again and again. Not that Foi had done a whole lot to fight it.

It had felt like one day he was already there sitting at Porter’s feet waiting, but for what? The human was sweet, intelligent, feisty, and Foi’s favorite part was Porter’s demanding side. Just thinking about the human commanding him and looking down on him sent a chill down his spine, and his cock hardened in his pants. He readjusted himself quickly as he turned the corner and found Porter reapplying his makeup.

The man looked good without makeup, but Foi especially loved when Porter was done all up. He let his hungry gaze trace up Porter’s legs taking in every inch of his slender body. Foi’s mouth watered, and it had nothing to do with the steak that had been promised.

“Want to say something, puppy?” Porter asked in a sultry voice.

How in the world the human managed to sound so sexy was beyond Foi. He swallowed thickly as he finally met Porter’s brown eyes. He was waiting for something, and it took Foi an embarrassing amount of time to remember Porter had asked a question. He shook his head.

“Yes?”Shit, what in the hell was the question?

Porter stood up straight. Even in his heels he was still an inch or two shorter than Foi, but it made him no less intimidating. It was mind-boggling. Foi was a werewolf and Porter a human. He could simply break his neck, and there would be nothing Porter could do to stop him. Humans could train their entire lives, and still, the supernatural would overpower them. They had strengths that went beyond meaning.

Porter took a step toward Foi, and before he knew what the human was about to do, his tie was wrapped around his hand. He yanked Foi down until they were eye level, but then he kept pulling harder and harder until Foi crashed to the floor on his knees and was forced to look up at Porter. His heart was lodged in his throat, and his stomach was full of butterflies as Foi tried his damndest to remember how to breathe.

“How about you tell me what you think of my outfit,” Porter prompted.

Foi nearly swallowed his tongue as he allowed his gaze to trace down Porter’s body. The red dress was flattering against his tan, lean body. Foi was practically panting. “Good.”
