"Don't you dare," Eldon said. He was in front of Gamble before he could erect an illusion and make his escape. "We've all been nice and haven't snitched, don't go running from me."
"Hard to do when you're even further up Arden's ass than before," Gamble said.
Eldon reached behind him and Gamble groaned as Micha’s door opened.
“Why do you know his code?”
Eldon lifted a pierced brow. “Are you really asking?”
“Oh Gamble, you’re finally back I got you a—Shit.”
“Micha, that isn’t nice you will hurt my feelings,” Eldon purred. “It’s almost like you’re disappointed to see me.”
Gamble groaned and took a step away from the tempting vampire.
“Sorry,” Micha whispered.
The softest look came over Eldon’s face that even Gamble was placed at ease. He shook off the feeling.
“Micha, have you been hiding a certain witch in here?”
Gamble didn’t let anything show on his face but his stomach twisted as he waited to be ratted out. It was inevitable. No one was willing to place their neck on the line for him and he knew that. It was his mistake for getting caught all because he foolishly let his guard drop.
“No,” Micha said.
Gamble stopped breathing Micha just did the unthinkable. Stood up for him, something only the Manetti’s had ever done for him.
Eldon sighed. “Fine, but Gamble, you need to talk to Arden.”
“And if I don’t?”
Eldon shrugged and one could almost be convinced that he had no care in the world. But Gamble knew for a fact that wasn’t the case. Eldon was always looking out for people and paid close attention to others.
“Are you going to go running back to Arden and tell him?”
Eldon shook his head. “No, I’d prefer if you spoke to him yourself.”
That wasn’t happening any time soon.
“Then your business here is done,” Gamble said as he headed toward the door but stopped short as he caught Eldon’s gaze. He was drawn in like a mouth to a flame. He knew how dangerous vampires were and yet he wanted to get closer.
Eldon’s tongue came out and the glint of his tongue ring sent shivers down Gamble’s spine. “I’m hungry.” Eldon’s voice was like silk as it wrapped around Gamble and made his body tingle. He was actually aware of the vampire at all times and when he was this close, it was impossible for Gamble to ignore the thrum of his own heart or the way his cock thickened.
“Go eat then,” Gamble forced out.
His voice sounded breathy to his own ears. Shit, Eldon shouldn’t affect him that much and yet Gamble couldn’t get his heart to settle down and all the blood had clearly rushed to his cock the moment Eldon touched him.
“Don’t mind if I do,” Eldon said. His breath fanned against Gamble’s ear and before he knew what was happening, Eldon was behind him and had one of his tattooed hands shoved up his shirt and his cool flesh rested firmly right over his heart.
Gamble’s throat went dry, unable to speak but still his body responded as if someone was pulling his strings. His head tilted and he leaned further against Eldon knowing the vampire could hold him easily.
“I do love when you give in,” Eldon whispered.
Gamble groaned it was all he could do. He should sayfuck youbut his tongue felt heavy and his body was lit up as if he was touching a wire.
Eldon licked along the column of his neck and tingles echoed over his body. The only thing keeping a whimper from falling from his lips was the fact that Gamble was biting the inside of his cheek past the point of pain. But even the throb that echoed from his teeth digging into his soft flesh didn’t dull the sensations running rampant in him and it was all just from Eldon’s mouth on him.
Gamble wanted to scream at his own body and call it a dirty traitor.
