Micha bit his lip but moved forward with his questions. "You had Arden first, are you okay with sharing him?"

Spooky snuggled closer to Micha. "Good question. Yes and no." The familiar lightly touched Micha's feathers, making shock waves of pleasure shoot through him. "The idea of some stranger touching Arden makes me want to rip someone’s throat out and scratch out their eyes."

Micha audibly swallowed at the horror his mind conjured up from Spooky's words. He never wanted to see that.

"But when he touched Gamble in front of me, it felt right. Like having him be a part of whatever is going on made it better." Spooky let out a sigh. "So I started paying even more attention and I realized it would never have worked with me and Arden alone. I know it might sound crazy but there are things I need that Arden can't give me and vice versa."

Spooky's cat ears continued to move about, and Micha wanted so badly to touch them. His fur was so soft, and whenever Micha was given the opportunity, he petted Spooky for as long as he would allow.

"Not to mention it's not as if we are going outside this little circle that's forming. I've seen it before with Porter and his guys. They all loved Porter and doted on him but there was love between each of them as well. Every single member of Porter's harem brought something different to the relationship. It was honestly beautiful and if I could have that with Arden and all of you, I'd be plain old stupid if I stood in the way of that."

"Oh," Micha said.

Spooky looked up at him, no longer playing with his feathers. "Like this, we are only sitting here holding each other, wrapped in your feathers. I feel so light and comfortable with you. If I don't want to smile, I don't have to. If I want to sleep, I'm not worried you’ll run off." He shrugged, and a pink tinge colored his cheeks.

He was so cute.

Micha moved before he thought better of it and kissed the familiar. It warm, sweet, and so familiar, as if they had done it a thousand times before. Micha fell into it and Spooky matched his energy, moaning against his mouth as their tongues tangled.

"I never had anything like this. I-" Micha cleared his throat. "What I had before doesn't even compare to what I'm feeling from each of you. Not to mention how all of you treat me. It is so vastly different from what I'm used to."

Spooky smiled at him, and Micha's heart fluttered. And for the first time in a long time, he felt like he could open up a little more.

"I want nothing more than to stay here and be with all of you. To have people who want me." Micha tightened his feathers around them even more. "To feel safe and loved."

Spooky looked at him, and there was no pity in his brown eyes; if anything, there was acknowledgment and understanding. "I think that's what we all need." Spooky brought their lips together again, and Micha could do nothing but sink into the kiss. Spooky's sharp teeth nicking Micha's lip added the metallic taste of blood to the kiss. It should have had Micha freaking out, but instead, he found himself groaning and silently begging for more.

Spooky dragged his mouth away, and Micha swallowed back the whimper that threatened to spill. Spooky grasped Micha's face and stared into his soul.

"I'll kill them," Spooky said with such conviction Micha couldn't help but believe it. Spooky gave him a peck. "Whoever hurt you, know they will never have the chance again."

Micha couldn't contain his smile from the joy Spooky's words brought to him. "Thank you." His words were hushed, and he kissed Spooky again. "But he’s dead."

If only he'd met them before, maybe they'd have saved him. And then he wouldn’t have a savior to answer to. Just the men who cared about him.

Spooky didn't break eye contact. “Is it wrong that I’m happy about that? And I'm pissed I didn't have the pleasure of breaking every bone in his body myself."

He’s a violent little thing. However, Micha wasn't afraid of him or in a constant state of anxiety. Like Spooky had said, he felt comfortable around the familiar.

"We won't let anything happen to you,” Spooky said.

We.Micha nodded, unable to say anything else as emotions clogged his throat. He wanted nothing more than for this to be his forever, but nothing good ever stayed.

Not for Micha.

Bash feltlike his feet were on fire. So was his back, his thighs, and the rest of him. On top of hauling things around all day, he’d also been part of the massive deep clean that was done at PGD every two weeks.

And the whole time they worked he could feel Arden’s tension. Every day that went by, the more on edge he was than the day before, but Bash could understand why. The weight of the world was on his shoulders.

What the hell? He’s a bastard on a good day.

But there was more to it than that. As much as Bash wanted to simply ignore the man, he saw the way he cared for everyone at PGD. Maybe he had a little thing for him.

For more than just him.

That thought was unsettling, but he couldn’t shake the truth. The longer he was around them, the more he wanted them. Bash had never allowed himself to want anything and now? Well, he had clearly lost his damn mind.

Bash stopped off at the kitchen and stared into the fridge. He settled for a frozen dinner that he popped into the microwave and his eyes lingered on a tray of brownies that someone had baked. The alluring chocolate scent was way too good to ignore.
