If his skin was kissed, would it be as soft as his clothes?

Arden swallowed down his fantasies and the heat that graced his cheeks. He cleared his throat and answered the expectant, smiling Eldon who kept them all together.

"Of course," he said. "Let the night begin."

"Yes, Sir," Eldon said with a wink. "You heard the man! Let's get moving," he called as he turned and glided away from Arden.

The dragon gazed after him.How angry would he be if that kimono was shredded off of him?

Arden's lips curled at the thought. Maybe he'd ask the vampire that later. And perhaps he could get Eldon to come along upstairs and wrap his pale arms around him once more.

"Your drinks are coming up,"Arden called down the bar. "Give me a moment."

He turned around with a platter full of drinks and stopped short. Even with some clients not showing up, the night had started to pick up. People who couldn't book before were too curious to pass up the chance to see inside the wonderful allure that was PGD. At first, he'd gotten excited.

Until he saw a familiar face.

Cooper. The cop from before stood there, a smug look on his face. Arden wanted to reach over the bar and slam his face into it a few times until the look disappeared from his pinched mug.

"What can I do for you, Mr. Cooper?" Arden asked, putting his professional face on. "Would you like a drink?"

The man scoffed. "Why? So you can drug me?"

Arden's jaw ticked and his brow raised. "What is that supposed to mean?"'

Officer Cooper glared. "It means I wouldn't touch a thing in this filthy supernatural cesspool if I was paid a million dollars." He yanked out a folded set of papers and slammed them onto the bar. "Shut this shit down."

Rage pumped through Arden's system, but he kept cool. He picked up the papers and examined them as bile rose in his throat. Shut down papers. It was one of the downsides to being a supernatural in a world that hated them. Most people got trials first before they were deemed guilty. But not here, not in this place that lived on the subjugation of anyone different.

Fucking humans.

Arden laid the papers down. "Why?" he asked evenly. "There have been no further incidents or accusations. And I believe the first man withdrew his statement."

"Yes," he sneered. "Mr. Whitegate suddenly said that he'd been lying and changed his story. Imagine that." He laid his hands on the bar and stared Arden down. "But we had another victim come forward. One that's stated you've sexually assaulted him."

Ice ran down Arden's back as he stared at the asshole. Him? Sexually assaulting someone? Sparks danced along his arms and he watched the cop's eyes go wide. Arden pulled it back. There were a plethora of men coming for his cock, why the hell would he need to assault anyone? That shit was for cowards. And he was happy with the men that now filled his bed. Arden done a lot of bad in his life, but that had never been one of the deeds he needed atonement for.

"You are mistaken," Arden said, his language slipping back into high speech involuntarily. "Why would I need to do such a thing? I am not involved with any clients. None. So why would I do that?"

The cop's glare deepened. "Are you involved with any of your hosts?"

Arden bristled. "What does that have to do with what we are currently discussing?"

"Exactly," the man said as he sneered. "You're fucking employees. I have a good source that said that you were and I can see it's true now. That's damning, especially forfilthlike you." His eyes tracked up and down Arden as he looked at the man with disgust. "Of course, a thing like you needs to rape humans to get off."

His muscles jolted and Arden reached out before a hand wrapped around his wrist and yanked his arm back down. Bash grunted at his boss and shook his head. Eldon quickly made his way over.

"If you have any other papers, you can leave them with us," Eldon said sternly. "But I believe with this notice we have eight hours to comply, correct?" His eyes darted over the document quickly and he nodded before he answered himself. "Yes, right here. Paragraph ten. We have the right to get this place shut down properly." His eyes met Officer Cooper's. "So, why don't you let us do that? And leave?"

The man pushed away from the bar and grinned. "I'll be outside all eight hours. If there's even one client in this building after that time I reserve the right to haul your boss there to jail," he said as he jerked a thumb at Arden.

"Who?" Arden choked out as the cop turned to leave. Once he heard Arden, he glanced over his shoulder. "I want to know who made the accusation."

"No," the man said evenly. "See, he's under protection from us and from the people who are going to be dragging your ass into a cell so deep in the Earth you'll go crazy after a week." He grinned. "Supernaturals get no rights. You know that, Mr. Barnes," he said dragging the name out, as disgust dripped from his tongue. "You have a good night."

Bash kept his hand around Arden's arm. When the dragon looked down, he noticed the way the bear's muscles tensed and jumped. Bash was being shocked, but all he did was bare his teeth and take it. Electricity still ran over his skin and Arden quickly shut it down drawing all of that power back inside of him as he took a deep breath and blew it out. Eldon laid a hand on his chest.

"I can look into this," Eldon whispered. "Do you want me to-"
