He doesn’t let go.

They hookup.

They separate.

He courts her from afar.

He woos her.

She enjoys knowing he is thinking about her, and she lets him know.

He sends his sisters.

She loves his sisters.

She loves his friends.

He knows her darkest secret and accepts her for who she is.

Opening my bedroom door, I walk out to see Angus leaning casually against the wall, dressed in a smart suit with all his hair up in a full man bun, immersed in texting on his phone.

“I’m ready to get blindfolded,” I offer, all in the spirit of Tucker’s surprise.

Angus shakes his head slowly, a grin spreading across his face, but keeps texting. “Tucker will be kicking himself, missing hearing ye say that.”

“Thank you and something like that.” His thumbs are rapidly punching away at the phone keys.

“Already taken care of.” Angus is still focusing on texting.

“I’ll wait for you outside then.” I start to pass him when one arm flashes out, barring me from going any farther.

Angus drags his eyes slowly away from his phone.

He whistles low, walking around me. “Wow!”

“Um… thanks.”

“Ye look beautiful.”

“And you sir, look very handsome.” Holding the sides of my dress out, I smile and curtsy.

Angus snaps off two photos of me grinning.
