AN HOUR LATER, A FLASHof red caught his attention.

“I’m here, I’m here. Sorry, I had a costume emergency,” Olivia said as she raced into his office.

Fletcher smirked as he took in her white wool dress and red jacket.

“Are you aiming for a nineteen-fifties nurse? Because I have to tell you, Olivia, you’re missing a few details.”

She bunched her brows, and then they widened.

“Not me. Sammy!”

He’d known exactly what she meant, but he loved teasing her.

She glanced down at herself. “Do I look like a nurse? Oh, my God. I look like a nurse. Shit. I just grabbed the first clean thing in the wardrobe.”

“I was joking. Relax.” Fletcher smirked.

Olivia plonked herself in the chair in front of his desk and let out a breath. “You’re cruel.”

“Coffee?” he asked, and as if by magic Scarlet popped her head in the door.

“Chai latte, please,” Olivia ordered.

“Please shut the door,” he called out, then turned to Olivia. “Good weekend?”

He tried, and failed, to ignore the curve of her breasts under the hug of her dress, and the red of her plump lips. Then she slightly tugged her bottom lip between her teeth and his pants tightened.

Dammit.

Fletcher cleared his throat and picked up a pen, studying it as if his life depended on it.

“Yes. Thanks for the ride home,” she replied, and he looked up into her bright blue eyes. “You?”

“What?”

“Your weekend. Was it good?” Olivia asked.

I got trashed on Friday night because I couldn’t stop thinking about wanting to rip your panties off and fuck you on my desk. Then I jerked off all weekend instead of going out with a gorgeous actress.

“Yes,” he said instead. “Pretty low key after the engagement party.”

“Oh, the party. Did Harper look beautiful?”

Fletcher smiled to himself. The two women got along great. Harper had said he should invite Olivia along, but given Daniel’s awareness of his attraction to his PR manager, he had decided against it. Especially given his resilience around her was slipping. Whiskey plus Olivia in a cocktail dress equaled disaster.

“That’s a question for my brother.” He smirked.

“Show me a photo. Come on,” Olivia pressed. “She’s so lovely. You must be so thrilled to have such a nice sister-in-law.”

Both he and Hunter adored Harper. She was down to earth, funny, and talented in her own right. She had a successful author career and was totally in love with their brother.

Even better, she didn’t take his shit.

When they weren’t making silly eyes at each other, the two of them were debating over something which usually ended in Harper winning.

They seemed to have it all.
