Her lips parted as heat flushed through her body and she realized, in the moment he spoke her name, their world changed.

She couldn’t. She couldn’t let this happen.

There was too much at stake.

“Please... we can’t.” Olivia said, squeezing her eyes closed momentarily. When she opened them again, Fletcher reached out slowly and threaded his fingers into her hair.

She let him.

Or at least she didn’t stop him.

Her entire being wanted him to touch her. She burned for him.

“This is getting really fucking hard,” Fletcher said, cupping the side of her face.

His words had no context if you were an observer. Neither of them had spoken of their desire for one another.

But she knew exactly what he meant.

They both did.

She nodded, her mouth dry. “I know.”

His eyes roamed over hers and down to her lips. The temptation to lean in and change both their lives even more was a breath away. The hunger in his eyes surely matched hers, and when she unconsciously licked her lips, Fletcher’s arm suddenly dropped.

“Shit,” he cursed, as both relief and disappointment laced through her body. “I shouldn’t have done that.”

Olivia stared at the seat in front of her. Her body burned with need and her heart thumped anxiously.

God, what had they done?

“At least we’ve acknowledged it. This. Now we have to find a way to stop it,” she said.

The car pulled up outside SoHo Dufort and Fletcher shot her a look rich with the promise that this wasn’t over.

Not at all.

––––––––

OLIVIA WALKED AROUNDthe lobby of the new hotel, admiring the décor and luxurious touches that were unique to this new brand. It would attract the wealthy corporate traveler, and they’d accommodated everything a busy executive would need.

Every inch of the space was high quality and screamed expensive, from the large chandeliers to the black and gold carpets and custom-made furniture.

Olivia had visited the site during construction, so it was fantastic to finally see it complete.

Mostly, she was trying to keep her distance while Fletcher spoke to the manager and staff. Even with her back to him, she could feel his eyes on her.

The worst part was she wanted to be the center of his attention.

Hell, what woman wouldn’t?

Fletcher Dufort was drop dead gorgeous. He was the full package. Successful, wealthy, charming, funny, and he had the most kissable lips she’d ever set eyes on.

Olivia turned and took in his tall, powerful body. Even beneath his expensive tailored suit, his muscles were impossible to disguise. And she was very familiar with his strong forearms after watching him roll up his shirt sleeves in countless meetings.

“Good morning, everyone,” Daniel said as he stepped into the lobby, looking every bit a powerful CEO, and shaking everyone’s hands. “Olivia.”

“Morning, sir.” She smiled.
