As if he could.

“Good luck with that,” Fletcher laughed, fighting to conceal his irritation. Not because of the threat—Fletcher, Hunter and Daniel were all equal shareholders in the Dufort Dynasty.

Daniel may be the CEO, but unless he pulled off another coup, he was in no way able to exit Fletcher or their younger brother.

Unfortunately, he had hit a nerve, and Fletcher found himself unable to stop from reacting. “Leave it alone, Daniel. Nothing is going on.”

His eyes darkened as he challenged his brother.

Daniel narrowed his eyes. “Jesus. You like her.”

“She is an excellent PR manager. Now let it go.” He turned to Dakota. “Let me show you around.”

CHAPTER SIX

Olivia didn’t care.

She shouldn’t care.

But she did.

Fletcher was here with Dakota Smithers. He’d taken her to a few events over the past twelve months and the media had run story after story on them, claiming there was a serious relationship. Dakota was a wealthy socialite rumored to be connected to all number of powerful men, including those on other continents.

And she was incredibly beautiful.

So was Fletcher. Not a common word used to describe a man, but he was.

Beautiful. Sexy. Powerful.

His tuxedo fit over his large build like it was made for him. Because it was, and likely cost more than six months’ rent in NYC. His hair was slightly curled on the ends, his lips upturned in their cheeky way, as they always were. He stood confidently, taking in his surroundings, those stunning green eyes not missing anything, his hand tucked into his pants pocket, showing a hint of the Rolex watch on his wrist.

Wealthy. Influential. Playboy.

They were all words that described Fletcher Dufort. The man she worked with, and desired.

Olivia sighed.
