He's saying and meaning all the right things and I feel drunk on happiness that life is finally falling into place.

“Wherever you need us to be, I’ll follow you.”

“I hope I live long enough to prove I deserve your love.”

“Hey, you have all of me. You have nothing to prove.”

Sliding out of bed, he leans over and drags me to the bottom of the bed by my ankles. I giggle and it’s lost when he pulls me up and throws me over his shoulder. I have a clear view of his toned ass and then I’m swung around and in the bathroom.

He turns the shower on and grins. “My wife-to-be needs to be clean. Get in.”

I step into the tub and wait for him to join me, but he doesn’t.

“Are you not joining me?”

“If I join you, I’m not leaving any time soon. Take your time getting ready and I’ll swing by and pick you up once I’m done at Slade’s.”

I hope this doesn’t mean Kristen is going to ice over with me again. It’s been nice having her on side when it comes to Rayna.

“I’ll be here,” is all I can say.

“I’ll let you know when I’m on my way back.” He leans in, not caring about the water hitting the side of his face and kisses me before getting his clothes. I’m soaping my hair when I hear the door open and close.

It’s a shame I have to wash him off of me, but I bite down on a smile when I’m reminded he’s going to be a part of me for the rest of my life.

Finishing up in the shower, it takes no time to get dressed and dry my hair. I have no idea how long Leo is going to be. I grab my phone and fall onto the bed.

Calling Harper, I dig my teeth into my lip in excitement. She doesn’t let it ring for long before she answers.

“I’m only answering to hear good news. If you’re no longer in Willow’s Peak, I’m gonna hang up.”

Chuckling, I tell her, “I’m still in town, still at the motel, and after Leo gets back from talking with Slade and Kristen, he’ll be picking me up and we’ll be going to the club.”

“Why is he talking with them?” she drawls.

“If I tell you something, you cannot tell anyone, okay?”

“Oh my God, my lips are sealed. Go on.”

“He’s going to tell them that last night he asked me to marry him, and I said I yes.”

For five seconds, the line is silent, then all hell breaks out as she squeals down the phone. I have to pull it away from my ear before she bursts my drum.

“Are you serious, right now? Of course you are! Oh my God, I can’t believe this. I’m so happy for you… and for Leo!” she rushes out all at once, adding, “And of course I’m happy for me because you’re not leaving.”

Laughing, I’m glad to be sharing this with her. Left alone, I don’t want to sit here doubting last night even happened.

“So we have a wedding to plan. A wedding I’m not going to miss.”

“I have no idea what Leo wants. Just hold off on the plans until I find out more.”

She snorts. “He’s the new president over the Lost Souls. The brothers are going to want to celebrate.”

A whole new level of nerves hit me at the thought of marrying Leo in front of a huge crowd. But my smile returns. It doesn’t matter the number of people watching us, I’d marry him under any circumstances.

“I’ll see you at the club.”

“Oh, I’ll be there.”
