“What lap dance?” Simon asks, confusion written across his expression.

“Calm the fuck down and back off, Cole!” I hiss as he gets in my face like this is my fault. He steps back with reluctance, and I turn my eyes to Simon. “He was testing her. Made her wear lingerie and give him a lap dance to see if she would comply.”

“Why doesn’t she just say no?” Simon asks, standing up off the floor.

“He’s blackmailing her. Said he will expose Tyler if she doesn’t obey.” I offer before Marcus grunts.

“Who fucking cares about this Tyler fucker? He sounds like a paedo, just like the rest of them at that club. He has her thinking he cares about her. I bet he’s just like the rest of them.”

I shake my head. “He’s not. He’s a decent guy. Once you move past their age difference and see them together, the way he cares about her, you’ll understand.”

“I don’t want to see that shit!” Marcus yells, picking up a cushion from the couch and throwing it hard at the wall. “He’s a fucking man, and she’s a teenager! It’s not right! If he had any decency, he wouldn’t let her be blackmailed like this. He wouldn’t be such a fucking coward and hide behind her, letting her take the fucking fall.”

“Marcus has a point.” Garrett agrees, and I sigh, flopping on the barstool behind me.

“He has a lot to lose, and Rhys wants to protect him. My guess is that he doesn’t even know about the Master’s proposal.”

“What does he have to lose? Is he married?” Garrett asks, and I shake my head.

“Not married.”

“Is he a cop or something?” Marcus asks, and again, I shake my head.

“Not a cop.”

“But he does something that would be considered pretty fucking bad if he was found to be screwing a minor, right?”

Fuck. Marcus is too perceptive.

“Look, what Tyler does isn’t the problem. The problem is that the Master has incriminating evidence against both Tyler and Rhys. If our girl doesn’t comply, then she will be exposed as well. Is that something you want?”

“Of course, it fucking isn’t!” Marcus gets another cushion and throws it, this time at me.

Ducking it, I shake my head. “Look. We need to deal with one thing at a time. We will work on getting her out of that sex club, but right now, we need to be focused and ready to help her through tonight.”

“Bossi is right.” Garrett turns away from me and moves back across the room to the sofa. “One problem at a time.”

“But isn’t that fucking sex thing on a Sunday night? Tomorrow night?” Marcus glares at me again.

Shit. I didn’t even think of that.

“Look, the one thing Rhys was able to do was negotiate my return with her at the club. She won’t be alone. I’ll be with her, and if I have to fuck her all night, then I will.” I smirk, but the guys don’t return it.

“You’re forgetting one thing.” Garrett hisses, his lips thin in anger. “She has to spend an hour with that master arsehole. You can’t exactly fuck her then, can you?”

“Shit.” I turn away, hating that he’s right. That club was fun while things between all of us weren’t serious, but now… now things are so different.

“She replied!” Simon squeals like he’s a chick and not a dude. “She said she’s on her way back. She’ll be here around six.”

Suddenly, I feel like fucking crying in relief. Like actually crying. Jesus, she really does have me by the balls. Do I care? Fuck no, I don’t!

We are all moody as fuck, spending the next hour in silence, scrolling through our phones, then a little after five, Marcus gets a message from Ayden to say that they are on their way over to Simon’s, as requested by Rhys. It’s not long before Lexi and Ayden arrive, with Lexi going into mother hen mode, putting on music, pouring drinks and demanding that we perk the fuck up, or she’ll kick our arses. By the time Tillie and Bell arrive, we are a beer in and feeling a little less mournful.

As Rhys pulls up out the front of Simon’s house, Lexi fills us in that Rhys asked us all there so she can have a night of fun, laughter, and sex. All eyes turn to me and the guys at the last part, with Lexi declaring she’ll be gone before that shit happens. Dale, Allister and Jared haven’t been invited, which is a good indication that Rhys is worried about her emotions getting out of control.

I’m nervous as shit as Lexi meets Rhys out the front to walk in with her. Rhys hasn’t told us what happened today, so we don’t really know how to treat her, but as she struts in, wearing jeans, something I’ve never seen her wear, and one of her Fly-Leaf t-shirts, her vibe is,let’s get fucked up!

“It’s party time, bitches!” She sings as she enters the rumpus room holding up a bottle of tequila.
