“I really do.” I smile, and Simon beams.

“Kitten.” Shaun’s voice turns serious again, and I sigh, dropping my chin to my chest in defeat. “Please understand that I had to tell them. They care about you, too. They want to keep you safe as much as I do.”

“I didn’t want anyone to know any of it,” I whisper, but it’s loud enough for them to hear.

“Why?” Garrett shifts closer to me and takes my hand in his. I’m helpless not to look up into those blue eyes of his. It hasn’t escaped me that he called me beautiful before.

“I’m vile. Disgusting. If you guys found out the whole truth, then you wouldn’t be interested in me anymore.”

“Why would you say that? We arehere,Kitten. We aren’t going anywhere.” Shaun takes my other hand, and my eyes dart to Marcus, who is looking perplexed.

“You realise what you saw on that video, right?” I nearly choke as I ask that question.

“Yeah, a paedophile!” Simon growls, and I flinch. They didn’t notice the little girl enjoying herself. That’s ok. Maybe it’s better if they don’t know that part?

“You know what? I don’t want to talk about it. Any of it. It’s all in the past.” I tug my hands free from Garrett and Shaun and stand up, dusting myself off. “Do you have any weed, Bossi?”

“Ah-. No.” He darts a confused expression to his mates before standing, and they follow suit.

“Booze?” I lean to the side, looking across the room at the small bar, hoping to spot something that can dull my turmoil.

“Beer. That’s about it.” Shaun offers, and I screw my face up.

“I guess beer will have to do, then. Hit me with a beer, please.” I smile and flutter my lashes at Shaun, ignoring the confused expressions of the other three.

Yeah, I get it. I was falling apart only minutes ago, and now I want to pretend shit didn’t happen. It’s a coping mechanism. Probably not a healthy one, but it’s all I have right now.

“Ah-. Sure.” Shaun frowns before turning to the others. “You guys want one too?”

They all nod, and Shaun wanders off towards the rustic bar made of old corrugated iron.

“Wanna play?” Simon asks me, holding up a table tennis bat, and I shake my head, moving to sit on a rickety barstool close by.

The guys settle in to have a few rounds of table tennis, trying to lighten the mood, their eyes darting to me every few minutes to check that I haven’t disappeared. I usually enjoy being watched, but I prefer to be naked and riding someone or something when I have eyes on me. I feel too exposed right now. Not so much so that I want to leave. The thought of not being around these guys seems terrifying right now, but they know so much more about me than I ever anticipated anyone knowing. I’m just waiting for the moment they realise they don’t want a bar of the Rhys George mint anymore.

Surprisingly, I relax into the atmosphere the guys create, and even though my entire world has been turned upside down, the fun banter we all have is comforting. I’m on my second beer when I notice Shaun speaking quietly with the others before approaching me and taking my hand, leading me out of the shed.

“What are we doing?” I’m nervous all of a sudden. Is he leading me away for some sexy time? And if he is, why the fuck does that thought make me nervous? Rhys George doesn’t get nervous about sex. Ever.

“I’m walking you up to the front gate. There’s someone here to see you.”

“There is?” I’m confused, but I turn my gaze up ahead when Shaun gestures that way, and I see a shadowed figure in the distance.

“Tyler wanted to see you in person to make sure you were ok.”

I remember now. He said he was going to come and see me, but I didn’t know how he was going to do that since the other guys are here too, and they don’t know who he really is. Nervously, I look back over my shoulder in the dark, checking to see if Garrett, Marcus or Simon are anywhere to be seen.

“Don’t worry, Kitten. The guys know they have to stay in the shed. You run along and see your man.” Shaun pats my arse, and I grin before lunging at him and kissing him hard.

He kisses me back fiercely and then chuckles as he peels himself back, breaking our connection. I miss his lips instantly. Why was I nervous about having sex with him?

“Thank you, Cass,” I whisper, doing an excited jump before running into the dark towards the large, towering shadow.

As I get closer, Tyler strides toward me, and a few moments later, I leap into his arms, wrapping my legs around his waist as our lips collide. Our kiss is fevered and mingled with more pesky tears as they escape my treacherous eyes. The few times Tyler and I have kissed has never been likethis. There’s so much feeling and emotion in the kiss. It's utterly intoxicating.

“Kitten.” Tyler rasps as he breaks our lips apart, pulling back to see what little he can in the dark night.

“Ty,” I whisper, seeing the shadow of a grin spread across his face.
