“She’s mine for the night. You can go now.”

My brows shoot up as Simon complains.

“Why do you get her to yourself?”

Marcus stands from the chair, still sporting a very hard boner under his sweatpants. “I’m struggling a little. This Tyler stuff is screwing with my head. I just…” His head tips forwards as he struggles for words. “I just need a reminder that Rhee loves me as much as the rest of you.”

His admission is raw and honest, and I know it was hard for him to say.

“Marc,” I say quietly as I climb off Garrett’s lap. I ignore the warm fluid running down my thigh once again, and I cross the room. His dark eyes look up to meet mine, and I can see the emotion swimming in them.

“I’m sorry that I get so territorial with you. I’m sorry that I couldn’t just fucking wait to find out who Tyler is. I almost wish I didn’t go there tonight.”

“Why?” I reach out, taking his hand in mine, and instantly our fingers entwine.

“Seeing him without a mask, his identity aside, I also saw how much the two of you love each other. I know you love all of us, but I’m scared that you’ll love me the least because I don’t try to dominate you the way Tyler does, or want to inflict pain the way Gaz does, or be into different kinks like Simon, or adventurous like Bossi. I don’t know if I’ll ever be able to touch another guy the way Hastings and Bossi did for you.”

“Marcus.” My heart breaks at his insecurities. This must have been what he wanted to talk to me about. He’s definitely pissed about not knowing Tyler was his PE teacher, but his feelings of inadequacy are at the forefront, and I hate that he feels this way. “You all have some things in common, and you all are completely different in other ways. Just because you don’t want to slice my skin open, or kiss another guy because I’d like that, doesn’t mean you’re not a major contributor to this relationship. You are what keeps me grounded, Marcus. You are the quiet moments. The way you love to watch turns me on so bad. I love knowing your eyes are on me, watching my expression, studying how my body reacts. And you’re possessive as fuck. I fucking love that about you. You make me feel protected. Safe. This isn’t just about sex, Marcus. I loveyou. And if I’m being honest, I loved you back when the two of us were fooling around. You’re the first person I’ve ever loved like that, and these insecurities you’re feeling come from how fucked upIam. I’m sorry for every ounce of pain I’ve caused you, and I swear I’ll spend the rest of my life showing you just how important you are to me.”

His eyes glass over as he stares at me, and I wish I knew what he was thinking.

“Guys?” I call to the others, and Shaun, Garrett and Simon all say “yeah”at the same time. “Do you mind if I spend the night alone with Marcus?”

“Not at all, Baby Girl.” Garrett’s deep rumble comes from my left. “Grady needs you. We are a family now, so we need to work together to make sure everyone is happy.”

I glance up to see Garrett, still smeared with blood, looking like a warrior. “Thanks, Mr Cole.”

He grins and leans down, pressing his lips to mine before stepping back to let Simon get to me.

“Thank you.” Simon’s eyes dip to the floor as his face flushes red when he speaks.

“What for?” I frown, confused.

“Not being freaked out by the things I want to do in the bedroom.”

My smile is wide as I lean forward and press my forehead to his. “Like Gar said. We are a family. Everyone’s feelings and desires are important. This isn’t just about me.” And fuck does it feel good to say that. It’s like I’m letting go of some of my selfishness.

Simon smiles and nods, giving me a quick kiss before turning his eyes to Marcus. “I get it, you know. Not feeling like you fit in or that you’re enough. But Cole is right. We are a family now, and I think it’s important that each of us is heard when needed and maybe even reminded that we are loved.”

“Damn Hastings. I didn’t know you were so deep.” Marcus adds, and Simon chuckles, playfully shoving Marcus’ shoulder.

“Yes, you fucking did.”

They all laugh.

“Right, well, I’m happy to leave you two alone for the night.” Shaun agrees. “If there’s anyone here that deserves to have our girl to himself, it’s you, Grady. I still feel fucking bad about everything.”

“I guess Ty was right about one thing earlier tonight.” Marcus shifts in front of me, running his hand through his thick, dark hair.

“What’s that?” Shaun asks.

“The past is the past. We can’t change it. We may as well focus on now and the future.”

“Too right.” Garrett agrees, and I shoot him a wink as I fight back my emotions.

A small grin tugs at Marcus’ lips as he cups my blood-smeared face, gaining my attention again. “You look vicious right now.”

Shaun, Simon and Garrett come to stand beside Marcus, taking me in too.
