He chuckles. “Fine. We were having a moment, and I didn’t want to ruin it.”

My shoulders slump, and I shrug. “Itwasa pretty nice moment.”

He grins. “Right?”

I sigh. “Guys, please don’t avoid talking about your concerns with me. I’m trying to be all grown up and shit, and I know this will never work if we aren’t open and honest.” I look down at my feet for a moment as emotions swirl in my chest again. “And I really want this to work.” I look back up at them. “I love you guys. I don’t know what I’d do without you.”

Simon drops the tongs in his hand and rounds the kitchen bench, keeping his eyes on mine the whole time as he stalks towards me with no hint of the clown in sight. I’m not sure what he’s doing, but when he reaches me, he grips the back of my head and slams his lips into mine. I melt instantly, his lips a searing claim as they move over mine, doing the same thing that Marcus’ did earlier and telling me how much he cares. When he pulls back, I gasp for air, a little taken aback by the serious expression on his face.

“I fucking loveyou, Rhys George.”

I can feel the goofy grin spread across my face right before Simon dips me in his arms, bending me back to steal another kiss.

“The Hastinator’s got moves.” Shaun chuckles, and Marcus agrees.

“Who would have guessed?”

Simon breaks our kiss abruptly, my eyes widening at his still fierce gaze as he pulls me up to stand before he gives a single nod and walks back to the kitchen to resume cooking.

The guys chuckle while I’m left reeling and fucking horny because I like that side of Simon just as much as I like his playful side. When my eyes lock with Garrett’s, he shoots me a wink and a smirk, and continues buttering the stack of toast in front of him.

I struggle to hold back my grin for the rest of the day. It’s like it’s permanently tattooed on my face, and fuck, it feels good.

Simon feeds me as we eat breakfast, and we go for a long walk along the water before lunch, where Simon teaches me how to make the best club sandwiches I’ve ever had. And yes, I get that a club sandwich isn’t that hard, but a girl has to start somewhere!

After lunch, the guys reluctantly let me go next door to have a quick visit with Moxie, AKA Agatha. Things have been so up in the air since the night she let me, Shaun and Tyler into her house after the Feast. I haven’t seen her, and last night wasn’t the right place to chat about things.

Unfortunately, it’s not until after I catch up with her that I kind of wish I didn’t go to see her. After learning what she has to say, I think being none-the-wiser would have been better.

“So, are you living here now?” I sit down on the porch step of the small Hamptons-style cabin overlooking Redfield Lake and take a sip of the lemonade Agatha poured me.

“Yeah. I’m trying to lie low from certain people at Fox Pines. Only my closest bed partners know I’m here, so if anyone asks, you don’t know where I am. Ok?”

I frown. “Why would anyone ask me where you are?”

She frowns back, studying me for a moment. “Wasn’t it your parents that went to the cops with the videos?”

Wait? She knows about the videos Master Hill has been sending my parents?

I shake my head. “Those videos are of me. What’s that got to do with you?”

She sighs. “You know Tradie and Sheriff? Well, Tradie is actually a cop at Fox Pines Police Department, so he’s seen the videos and gave me a heads up. Yes, the videos are of you, but I’m with you in some of them, and so is Skipper and a heap of others. The cops only know your identity, but they are putting together a team to try and track down the secret sex club and find the list of all the members.” She frowns and shakes her head. “So, I quit my job, and I’m renting this house under a different name. If things get too crazy, I’ll probably head to another state. Shane, that’s Tradie. He’s keeping me in the loop. I’m pretty sure he’s freaking out about videos of him and Sheriff coming out, too. No one knows they are gay. They are just two best mates, Shane and Ben, to most people.”

“Fuck Agi. I had no idea. I should have, though, right? I should have considered that the cops would want to go after everyone.”

“Haven’t they spoken with you about it?” Agi asks, and I shake my head.

“Not about that. I’ve got some other shit going on that I’ve been helping them with, but it has nothing to do with Vixen’s Lodge.”

Her lips thin. “I’m sorry to be the one to tell you.”

I shake my head. “No. I’m glad. My parents are obviously trying not to involve me as much as possible. There’s a lot of shit happening right now.” I sigh. “Why did you let us come here?” I glance around. “That’s risky.”

She nods. “I know, but Shaun was trying to find a way for you to have all your guys in one place while protecting Skipper's identity.” She grins. “Oh, I’m loving the whole reverse harem thing you have going, by the way. Just a tad jelly.”

We laugh.

“Thank you. That’s a huge risk on your part, though. I owe you one.” I smile, and she shakes her head.
