“More than peanut butter and chocolate?”

“More than all the Reese’s in the world.”

“Whoa,” she said, placing a gentle kiss on my lips. “Now, that’s a compliment.”

Pulling her in closer, I kissed her again—this one was more passionate and intense. Tilly moaned as my tongue caressed hers, and I wrapped my arms around her. She deepened the kiss immediately, and I was putty in her hands.

“So, which one am I?” she asked. Puzzled, I studied her face, placing one hand on her cheek.

“What do you mean?”

“The peanut butter or the chocolate?”

“I’m confused.”

“You said it’s the perfect combination. But we are, too. So, which one am I?”

“Hmm,” I said, understanding her playful speculation. “I’m not sure. What do you think?”

“Well, on one hand, I’m pretty smooth…like milk chocolate.”

“True.”

“However, so are you.”

“Tilly, I’m a nerd. In no way am I smooth.”

“You’re a lot smoother than you think you are, Wyatt. Trust me.”

I kissed her again. “And, you can be pretty salty sometimes. Maybe you are the peanut butter.”

“Maybe I am, but you know—just the right amount of salt.”

“Of course.”

“I’m rich and creamy and oh-so-delicious.”

“Okay, now you’re making me hungry.”

She moved up onto her tiptoes and took my bottom lip in with her teeth. She pulled ever so slightly, and I moaned. “That wasn’t the feeling I was going for.”

“Oh, no?”

“Nope. I wanted to make you…you know.”

“Oh,” I said with a nod. “Well, you always do that to me. Today is no different from any other day.”

She stepped back and pointed at me. “See! Right there.”

“What?”

“You’re smoother than you know.”

I shrugged and took her hand in mine. “Maybe I am.”

“Should we keep walking?” she asked. “The sun will be setting soon.”

“Shouldn’t we get you home? I don’t want to get you in trouble.”
