Page 38 of Justice for Three

I never took a thing from that woman, but she tried her best to ruin me. I feel sorry for her jaded bitterness, honestly. I take that back. The one thing I did take from my aunt...my best friend.

My office door opens and Kandy pokes her head in, the familiar smudge of kohl around her pretty eyes and the tight bun atop her head makes me smile. I’ve been blessed with friendship and a relationship with three men who love me beyond anything in this world.

None of them have popped the question yet, and I’m beginning to think they’d rather leave it that way. I mean I don’t even know if three men can marry one woman. Is that even a thing? I should Google that. I make a quick mental note.

“Earth to Justice. Hello? Are you ready?” Kandy crosses my office and hands me another coffee. This is the fourth for the day, but this time I didn’t ask for it. So I don’t know if it's her addiction or mine anymore.

I check my watch again. “Crap.” I got absorbed in my thoughts again and lost several precious minutes. “Are they downstairs?”

“Already past security and on their way up.”

I have a huge security company scheduled for a one o'clock where we are set to go over a contract that will put a major name on our portfolio and some major dollars in the company’s bank accounts. For them, they get access to some of the best tech to back up their security firmware and software. Win-win. But I’m nervous. Signing this group means more to me than all the other tens of companies we’ve landed.

“Do you have the contracts?”

“Yes.”

“Fresh water, pens, coffee? How's the ambiance of the room?”

“Yes, yes, yes, and I would say a cool 69 degrees.”

“Kandy, you’re a lifesaver.”

I walk to the elevator and take the quick ride three floors below me. I’ve decided to sign this company personally so I’ll be the only rep for Thorneware in the room.

I swing the doors wide, close and lock them behind me before making my way to the front of the room. Three men sit with their backs turned.

When I get to the front of the room, I eye each of the men and hold their gazes for the appropriate amount of time.

“Gentlemen. Thank you for coming.”

“Oh, we haven’t come yet.” Seth is out of his chair and beside me faster than I can track him. Problem is, I’m trying to watch Lucian and Jacob at the same time and it’s impossible. All three might be retired SEALs but they all move wickedly fast.

“But we plan on it.”

“Right after you answer a question for us.”

I can’t hold back my smile any longer. Not when Seth has me in his arms and pins me in place against the head of the large conference table. “Oh, really, what’s that? Last time we played this game there was food involved and I’m starving.”

Each of them stands around me semi-circle and block out everything but them. Each pull out a beautiful gold band with a large diamond centered in the middle and kneel in front of me. On the space between their thumb and pointer finger is a matching dragonfly tattoo to match my own. Every time I see it the ones between my thighs tingle.

“We figured this was the best place,” Lucian starts.

“No distractions,” Jacob adds.

“Where you’re all ours,” Lucian ends.

Seth takes a hand in his. “Princess I don’t need to tell you how much you are our world. Our sweetness. Our lives. Poetry isn’t my strong suit really so I’m going to just say it. Will you marry us? We know you can’t marry all three but will you wear our rings and take our promise to love you forever?”

I know it’s sappy to cry when a man gets emotional and pours his heart out, but I dare you to try to keep a dry eye when three badass men get on one knee for you.

I nod so fast I think my head is going to drop onto the floor. “So you finally want your full ten million dollars’ worth, huh.” I’m beaming ear to ear at their shocked faces. “Yes…yes!” I’m in someone’s arms and being spun around. Lucian, I see and then I'm passed around to all my men, my soon-to-be-husbands.

“Take me back to the cabin, boys and let’s make a baby. I want so many we’ll have to build extra rooms.”

I sigh as my three lovers pick me up and carry me to a waiting limo. I’m ready for the next stage in our lives. The family I never had growing up. I want to bask in all the warmth and love they’ve brought to life inside me. I have so much to give. And they’ve already proven they have more than enough love to go around.

Four years ago I looked at corporate walls and saw nothing but white, blank space. All I had to do was fill it with love for it to become more. Now that my heart is filled to bursting everywhere I go, I carry that with me. Now and forever. Me and my harem of three.

The End
